Any advise on playing Tiara Melaka?

Seeking advice from all well travelled "Gao Shous",

Any advise for playing in Tiara Melaka? also, any good contacts to book a flight for this Sunday morning?

just call tiara n make a booking, sunday morning quite packed, but they have 3 nines.....lake, meadows n woodlands (east-hard order)...... dun need contacts, just call the clubhouse directly. about rm$150-200

Hey Rangereye, when playing in Tiara be careful. Don't leave any valuables in your buggy. As its a buggy on track course make sure you park your buggy where you can see it. Have a good game.

I will try very very hard. I doubt my driver will but I am sure my irons will be super friendly to them.

at the rate u are hitting, doubt ur irons have much chances of showing themselves.. more likely will be driver, wedge, putter... driver, wedge, putter...

so to your fellow flight mates.. ur only chance with mloy on Sun will most likely be on the Par 3s...

Tiara Melaka Update:

1. I played Tiara Melaka last week on 19th Dec, 2 ball. Called to make booking and was told public is RM140 and member is RM106. I ask how to get member price? The auntie say " ok lah give you member price lah"

2.Decided to play blue tee and to me it was really quite tough. 70% of the holes has a water hazard between the blue tee and the fairway, so if you get over ambitious you'll hit your ball into the water. Beautiful course with good conditions in summary. But I want to point out the difficulty of the rough. I don't know what kind of species of grass it is but it's very spongy and quite thick and just about the height of the ball. Whenever our balls  landed on the rough, we spent a long time finding the ball. The rough just sucks it in. When we finally find it, it is very challenging to play as you almost always hit the spongy grass first before you can contact the ball. The most punishing rough I have ever played.

3.All in all a nice and beautiful course, but I believe beginners (like me) should avoid. It is more for players who consistently find the fairway. Prefer A'Famosa further down which is more friendly for beginners (again like me).

**The auntie told me no compulsory caddy on the phone. But upon reaching she say must take caddy. So I insisted yesterday she told me no requirement for compulsory caddy….then she mumbled…."but now we have a lot of caddy idling…." Lucky I called and checked the day before.

Second that, keep an eye for your valuables. The monkeys are super trained. Seriously. 

Oh yeah forgot to mention the monkeys! They just want some banana lah…

I second the rough. The moment your ball goes into the rough, it is almost unplayable. Finding the ball is too difficult!

It's pretty straight forward playing that course, either you find the fairway bunkers or the fairway from the tee box..... I've lost my fair share of golf balls on that course
