| Greetings GRians, For those (SGians) who golf JB frequently, you may want to apply. What: a one year visa/pass (pasted on your passport) for multi visits to M'sia - no need to fill up 'white card' anymore & - no more 'chops' on the passport. How: go http://macs.imi.gov.my/ to fill & print the application form, apply personally@ one stop docu centre with d app form, a passport photo & rm30. Takes about 30min to process & you get the visa on the spot. Where: located above the JB immigration BUS complex (take the escalator up where pax alight from bus). For car drivers, park at the extreme right car lane just before you do the passport thingy & FIND your way up to the bus complex. Buy me a golf game & i will bring you there (i bought my golf kaki a game & bah ku teh for this 'lobang') Did mine last Tue cos my passport only left with 10 pages & will definely finish long before the expiry date. | |

It is more useful for those taking bus into JB. Don't think we qualify or even if you managed to get a pass, it will be a waste of your money. JMHO. Titu

| Hi Crystal, There's no special lane for drivers, we still drive thru' the same M'sia immi car lane except don't need to submit 'white card' & the immi staff will just scan your passport without stamping. I got the pass without putting in any 'M'sian sponsor company' in the app form (immi staff also didn't ask). For me, rm30 a year is defintely worth it, bcos it save me the trouble of getting & filling up the 'white card' & also reserve the last few pages of my passport for international travel. Your offer is accepted, lets arrange.. | |

Unless you are carrying your golf bag with you going thru the gates with this special pass just like Singaporean at the immigration point going for oversea trip which you put your PP under the reader thus bypassing the queue. So if you are driving, you still have to pass your PP to the custom officer at the booth right? LPPL in my opinion. Just me. Ya guess the RM30 is for doing away with filling up the white card. | Good news for GR Golfers !Day pass for frequent JB trips Thu, Jan 14, 2010 The Straits Times By Maria Almenoar SINGAPOREANS who frequently travel to Johor can now apply for a pass that will give them easier access. Malaysian authorities have extended the use of the Malaysian Automated Clearance System (Macs) to day-trippers who head north more than four times in a month. Those who get the Macs pass will have a sticker in their passport which will be scanned on entry and departure. PS: Luckily I done mine liao , else going to be long long queue ....

| I don't think the queue will change, CT, unless they open up a MACS-only lane | |

| Great info. At least my passport can last a full 5 years once I got the MACS instead of less than 2 years. Questions: 1. Can we apply at 2nd link? 2. Can this be used at 2nd link?
Ralphlim, did you to get it done at 2nd link? Thanks.
