| It is normal. Just do your regular swing and over time you will get better. The range mat is quite forgiving as it will be ok even if you hit slightly behind the ball.
150m straight for 7i is very good liao for someone just took lessons 2 months ago, in fact, I think you have inborn talent as most 2 months old newbie can still barely launch consistently even at range. If you hit 150m at the range, you can easily do 160m on course due to range balls slightly retarded flights.
Until today my 7i goes at most 140 on a good strike so maybe you should pursue a career! I think i saw somewhere tour pros average 7i is about 150 carry only.
I also don't know how you can break 3 clubs, you throw them out together with the balls? Even then it should not break.
All in all, if you are early 20s, work hard on it and consider Q school soon.

| Too bad I am now 40+, just a bit late to start golfing... I actually broke the clubs at range before my lessons , maybe hitting on the matt directly too frequently Would like to know if there is real good coach who teach at courses, not range, pls share if you know someone, thanks.. | |

Hi Neilson. I give between 2-3 9 hole lessons a week on the course at orchid country club. I can't PM you as you don't have the required posts to receive PMs. Do drop me an email or text and I'll be happy to help. Cheers Justin

Did shaft break or head break? Or head fly off? I always wonder how that happens, have never seen it in real life only see the adaptor come loose or chipped off. All coaches do coaching on course. Msg me we go for a game week after when I back in Singapore.

| I am superfreakinglutely intrigued!!! I heard of woods breaking but irons . . . .. Maybe i am just suaku. For me, I would bring back to TAKA (or pan-west?) and show them the club. Warbird is a fairly old set. Surprise TAKA still sells it. Else you pass to me I might be able to squeeze out a set from them for you. I can drive over to pick it up, no charge | |

| i am way over 40 and playing for 3 years and my 7i, when all the stars align (which is as rare as DT admitting he is wrong) , goes 135m carry.
TS is not too far from a tour pro distance.

| Sorry as if I misunderstood the number, I always practice at seletar country club range, the the blue/yellow box flag show 150, so maybe it is 150 yards although I did asked the shop they all said it is meter... I am confused now, haha... . Now realize distance not important to me at all as at real course, I can hardly have a good hit, topping most of time and alignment is out. Maybe should bring the mat and put it on course For oldie bro, as the club was given free without receipt, don't bother to squeeze them liao as I am already 3k poorer with my Ping sets. But good to know you are able to even squeeze them, must be VIP customer to them | |

| Play at course as much as you can, else difficult to get handicap... Am aiming to take the test after 1 year. Handicap test need 53 strokes for 9 hole.. if failed, then I will take again after 3 years | |

mine was mbgc max 53 for 9 holes. There were 4 of us and all passed with almost all 4 over 60. I think they looking for etiquette and that you can progress that ball good enough liao.
