| DJ deserved to win this Major Championship. He brought his A game to this tourney since round one. Whether he was penalised one stroke or not, it doesn't matter anymore as it will be water under the bridge in the long run. What ppl will remember is that he won the 2016 US open in finesse fashion. | |

DJ won by 3 strokes. If he were to only by 1 stroke? then a playoff? is it fair? to be penalized so many holes after the decision was already made? Did you understand the full situation? He was accessed on the 5th hole by USGA officials that there was no penalty. However USGA officials visited him on the 12th hole to inform him that there was a review. You think thats fair?

I think the decision is wrong and the way the USGA handled it is wrong. Double whammy. the fact that DJ won by 3+ strokes doesn't take away the fact that the USGA didn't handle the situation properly. "If" he did deserve a penalty, it should be done before he submit his scorecard at the end. At least that's what I think.

| To me, and to DJ himself as well (he mentioned during the press conference) ... it does not matter anymore as he has enough stroke differences to win the tourney. Unless he lost the tourney or was forced into a playoff because of the one point penalty, we need not probe over it. We have more things to worry about in our life outside of golf. Hopefully USGA will manage it properly in the future. | |

| Yea DJ is taking the high road for now. But OMG if he lost, it would have been heartbreaking. | |
