the photo of "press up to go up, press down to go down" actually is a valid signage. Reason? cause many ppl still dont know how a lift works.

for example, if they are on the 5th floor, they want to do to the 1st floor, they see the lift is on the 2nd floor, they will press up to 'call' the lift to go up to his/her floor'

same for other situation. They are on the 5th floor, they want to go to the 8th floor, and currently the lift is on the 8th floor, they press down to 'call' the lift to come down.

seen this many times and know a few ppl (including younger guys) that thought that is how the lift button works
