| Hi guys, i would like to ask if any one have done fitted a shaft with bigger tip (0.37) into a (0.35) iron hosel ? From what i read online, basically there are 2 option: 1. To sand the tips of the shaft to fit the iron hosel (Cons: might damage the integrity of the shaft) 2. To bore the iron head to fit the shaft which is also high risk involve I have consulted one fitting studio and their advise is to buy a shaft which fit to your iron hosel. No risk involve. Appreciate any kind advise. | |

| A fitter can shave the inside of your iron hosel down with a drill Not high risk if done by a qualified fitter with the right tools and skills. I just did my hybrids shaft this way over the weekend. Can be done...
I'll won't do option (1) you mentioned in your post for the same reason.

Appreciate any kind advise. I've done Option 2 before as my shaft is parallel tip.

| Iron shafts come in 2 tip sizes - taper tip 0.355 and parallel tip 0.37.
Off the rack branded irons (your TM, Callaway, Titelist etc) are usually taper tipped.
One can use a taper tip on a parallel tip hosel with an adaptor but not the other way round. Shaving off
or bore the hosel will cause damage at the end of the day. Buy a taper tip shaft to fit is the only option.
