| Dunno. The 585Hs seem to set up well for me, and the 909s were harder to find used. In my case, if the shoe fits, I'll wear it. I actually only got my hands on the 21* one at Greenfield Golf in Far East Shopping Center first, and gamed it the next day at WGCC. On the 18th, with the ball sitting deep in rough, I swung smooth, took out a clean stripe of rough and hit a sweet draw more than 190m to the green. That moment on, I was sold. Used it a few more times at Legends and NSRCC Kranji (love that course), and loved how it played -- solid thud on a clean strike, cuts through rough like a hot knife through butter, and forgiving as hell. My fitter is a Mizuno-certified fitter (certification from Japan), and has playing pro credentials in Korea and Philippines (he's a pinoy). I didn't even know it was a one-plane swing until much later. He doesn't like to get technical with teaching me (which he does for free), and on my first lesson, he had me focus on getting the shaft parallel behind my neck, which resulted in me unconsciously turning my shoulders more fully instead of using my arms to get the club back. He also had me swing more smoothly, focusing on tempo instead of trying to blast the ball a gazillion miles. The one plane swing isn't really hard for me - - take a wider stance for more stability - stand slightly further from the ball. On address, my hands are slightly in front of my chin - focus on rotating the shoulders, arms are taken back on the same plane as my shoulders are (get a full-length mirror and use it to groove your takeaway) - The butt of the grip will be pointing within 4 ft outside of the ball position halfway back on my backswing. - I position my ball below my left breast pocket/logo, and trigger the downswing with my hip, letting my shoulders release my arms into the ball. I don't consciously try to do all these, and instead focus on keeping my lower body quiet (I have noisy legs) -- one way to tell if you're doing this right is when you hear a louder SWOOSH resulting from rotating the shoulder. Try this book: http://www.amazon.com/Plane-Truth-Golfers-One-plane-Two-Plane/dp/0071432450/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1261379392&sr=8-4 And get a full-length mirror | |

There's a price I pay for being away from family since I am working overseas. Wife is based in Singapore, and flying to and fro several times a year isn't fun since I hate flying. Golf rounds here are not as cheap as in Singapore/JB (Legends -- RM88 per round on weekday, RM94 after 12noon, vs The Els Club @ AED350 per round on weekdays). Courses here are in bloody good, championship condition, so that offsets the stupid amount of money we pay for green fees I do a lot of my shopping from the US and have my kit shipped in since choices here plain suck.

| I havent opened the CDs yet, but I have read 2 out of 5 of his books (you can buy the boxed set of 5 at Kinokuniya for $75), and I think they have helped me develop a better mental game -- more discipline, picking out very specific targets, staying with the pace, etc. I make more of an effort to have a game plan for every hole and know how to stick with it.
By the way, had my first proper game with the Miura Giken MB-5003 blades today. They are f***ing AWESOME. The quality of impact is simply exquisite, almost orgasmic. And not hard to hit at all - more forgiving than my TM Miura MBs, my TP MBs, and my King Cobra Pro MBs, all of which are blueprinted. me love my wifey long long for this one!

| wah the tour issued slut is on heat......the civil version of CCC in the making...
btw...there is no difference between US or Asian Project X, but there are the old school (satin made by the now defunct Royal Precision Co) and new school (chrome made by True Temper).
then there is regular, flighted and HL (spinner technology - high launch) versions.

| hey, you're right! The satin ones say Project X High Launch. Guess these will go onto the CG1 Black Pearls (gotta get rid of the S300s). The Rifle 5.5s are chrome, not satin, will decide what to do with them later (maybe DGman can recommend some super soft forged heads?) Hard not to be a tour slut when I can get them less than what retail sets cost, one of the perks of having access to Tour vans when they come to Dubai for tournaments p.s. what's CCC? | |

| the old timer will know...there are several classic posts by the legendary CCC, who is now retired.
some say he has gone into full time porn script writing and directing...i wonder if anyone have a copy of that legendary post?? he is also a member of the SCB despite having no "s" in his nick.
have fun in Dubai and happy golfing Kenneth.

| Snuck off for a round today, played the Miuras you bent for me. You did an excellent job, ball flight is damn straight now and trajectory is money. The driver takes a bit of getting used to, but was driving 260 yds consistently, with either hint of slice or a touch of pull if mistimed.
Thinking of bringing the CG1s back for you to shaft and bend on my next trip -- are you going to be around between 12 Feb and 19 Feb?

| Might have more sluts for you to work on when I next come back. The CG1s need to be refinished -- don't need them in a hurry, but if you know any company that can refinish the heads, I'll bring the heads back, along with the PX5.0HLs and I can leave it at your place till next time I come back (probably July).
I now have a new benchmark for my irons -- will be setting everything up to play like the Miuras you did up for me.

| one plane swing not for everyone. according to jim hardy, one plane swingers screw up when characteristics of 2 plane swing sneak into their swing mechancis and the converse is true. There's a DVD that you can buy from Amazon, and also worth buying a full length mirror to see your swing plane | |
