No, local taste with chye sim vegie and ikan bilis. No pork no lard and tasty. Very Happy

Beach road opposite Gate Tower got one Prawn Noodle is very famous ... Super nice as well ...

Go to the basement of the same hawker center
Another CKT stall, he is the original one, more traditional style
I grew up in that area so I know.

Same hawker centre 2nd floor got the prawn noodles and laksa also quite good especially the sambas is tokkong
Always got a queue regardless of timing

Both these stalls now helm by 2nd generation hawkers though the first gen still help out at the stall at times. Good for continuity

Oooo! Didn't know that. I grew up there as a child too. I love the peanut "tang yuan" at level 2, too. Had patronised the stall in the mid 60's and early 70's when they were selling on push carts along Jln Sultan. Very Happy

I still love the CKT from the former Outram park which has since shifted to fu hai hawker centre behind Chinatown point shopping centre.

The other one is at Blk 22 Beo crescent.

The CKT at Radin Mas Food Centre and the one at ShunFu market also good.
The one at Ghim Moh mkt also always long Q but now under Renovation, not sure if he is at the temp mkt.

I agreed on the Ghim Moh CKT. One of the best. Q non stop until closed. His biz so good he took 2 days off in a week. Earned enough. Now under renovation. He happy like fish go on long long vacation.

Second that. Be warned of long queue during lunch time...and usually sold out by 3-4 pm. Plenty of lard, and chili that gives you afterburner effects the next morning!!!
