If we had any doubts that the 2015 LPGA season could ever match the excitement of 2014, those doubts no longer exist. Once again this weekend we had an extraordinary finish. This time it was a 3 way playoff that included two 2015 rookies, Sei Young Kim, and Ariya Jutanugarn.

How good is the 2015 rookie crop? I am going to say without a doubt the best in LPGA history.
Not only did 2 rookies go into a playoff in this week's Pure Silk LPGA Classic, but a rookie finished in 2nd place last week at the Coates Championship.

Golf needs a 2 or 3 dominant champs and stars consistently.
Too many rookies winning doesnt mean a good thing.

I do hope Lydia Ko will start to dominate the scene and get more trophies, and fulfil her potential.

Sometime it is good to see new faces in the winning circuit ... On the contrary, I do not like to see only 2-3 golfers dominate the winning circle ...

Sorry to add a bit of fitting on this chat....

late last year i had the opportunity to fit one of the rookie who had talent beyond imagination. i had told her mum that she will win this year. well after an almost top 10 in the first event, she finished tied 2nd and nothing to be ashamed of as in a playoff, many things can happen.

the girl is so good that she can play all sort of shots with her 3 wood. her driving stats is the longest right now on a 44 inch driver and its amazing how she can play that Diamana Whiteboard 73 X flex with deadly precision.

Seen here with the Steelfiber J-series built for BFG Group

i definitely look forward to seeing Ariya on the winner's podium this year.

PS - we have been swarmed with request for the J-series which has been sold out.
