Anyone knows about this online seller (wong chung) who sells mirua, yamaha and Honma?

I was corresponding with this online seller- wong chung who claims he has stocks for Honma, Yamaha and Honma irons set from japan. He does not have a website nor he allows me to see and feel the clubs beforehand. 

He sent me some photographs of those clubs he have. I was suspicious and told me that i would like to see his website, go to his store or meet him up to see the clubs. He refuses to meet me claiming he is a online seller only. I tested him and asked for the serial number on the yamaha head. He sent me 56789pw. I declined his offer and he replied me with the following unprofessional emails below. This frustrated me and therefore I would like to warn the bros here to be aware of this seller. I have already stopped corresponding with this seller. I do not trust him and his business.


'Thanks for letting us know your mind well if that is okay by you but i will let you know that you are not the only buyer who complained and later get to buy and get there items. you asked us what ever questions you wanted and we provided it and now you said you are not interested well that really okay but i guess you don't really have the capital to purchase the items..'

He does not seem to know much about golf. Very weird English too.. and very rude in his email.. I think most of us are experience with online buying and will take precaution.

You made the right choice in backing out. Not that I know of this seller. However, in the event throughout the process of the sale (before you pay $$$) should you not feeling comfortable, back out. no commitment made by u to the seller that you will buy his goods.

Plus this is a buyer beware market

It's always a risk when purchasing online. We just have to be careful of online sellers like this Wong Chung. I had encounter with a seller in one of the online sites who told me that the price stated is valid only if I buy 3 shirts (His ad was stated as price for 1 shirt). He told me to take 2 more to get the same unit price for all 3 shirts which I refused. I guess we just have to ignore them and move on.

Anyone who tell me serial number is 56789 is definitely suspicious. I thought generally all the nice numbers are reserved for VIP only. Obviously this guy is not a golfer.

Ì think the seller mistaken serial numbers as the numbers of irons. 5i to PW. Bro antGolf said the seller knows little about golf. 
My 2cts is - cannot view clubs better don't buy la. If get cheated very heart pain.

I found it on singapore classified where this man claims that he is from mini-tour and is selling his 1.5 years miura tournament blade set with wedges for $600. He claim he is using mizuno now. 

When i wrote to him, this turns out to be this online person/store trying to sell me new clubs. I tried to search for this ad again but i think he has taken it down.

Please be advised that Honma and Yamaha don't sell heads only

Better to be sure of sellers of golf products online these days. Fakes from China can now be easily purchased from Aliexpress. You can check them out yourselves. Japanese brands seem popular sale items.

Talking about Honma, I met a seller who had put up an ad on Golfsite.
When I saw his Honma clubs and knew it was fake, I just said these are not real, and told him I won't be paying even $1 for them. 
He was fine about it. 

Check carefully before you buy. 
The fakes these days can look like the real thing. 
Even our own Sg branded irons was also faked by these Alibaba dealers before.

IMHO, why wanna buy fake Honma or Miura if cannot afford it? Brand like Callaway, TM etc cannot performed as well as them?

Remember this is a game of high integrity, if you play with fake clubs are you faking the scores as well?

Sometimes some pre-loved clubs people sell very good price (like me :p)

But some are just too cheap to be true

So just need to exercise precaution

Those prices look too good to be true. But that's just me.

I was in Tokyo recently. Pre-loved Honma TW717P was selling for about $700....so prices not that far off if second hand methinks. Still, it sounds dodgy...BTW mini-tour is for little people?
