interesting that the shortest was slightly more than 200 yards and the longest was 271 yards; and they mentioned that the clubs were not fitted to the player.

Mizuno drivers underrated. Never a favorite of everyone, but they do perform nicely. Looking forward to try out jpx 850 when I get home.

Moral of the story is to go try as many clubs as possible before deciding on the "right" one. Obviously it would be great if there is a launch monitor and a wide range of brands to try.

Not very fair comparison ... He should be given the same driver loft and the same shaft to test ... If same shaft not possible, the weight, CPM and the torque level should be almost similar if not the same ... If you notice, this tester gave an extra force to the very last attempt when he was using the Aeroburner ... to achieve 271 yards ...

In a separate vid, the dispersion of aeroburner was a lot better than 915. This vid is like a summary and there are seperate vid with each driver. In fact the tester preferred the look of the 915 more than the aeroburner. He was not really fond of the aeroburner head design but quickly changed after hitting it.

Thks for the sharing.
I believe that the shaft plays a large part of the whole driver, it is like the heart to a body. If u can find a reasonable combi, it shld give u good distance n dispersion.

Thanks for the video. IMO, to have a non pro golfer do the testing will probably test one thing more accurately, that will be forgivingness. The tester should be able to tell which driver is the easiest to hit and shot still goes relatively straight onto fairway even if it is a heel or toe miss. Distance testing I believe should have a pro, if not a robot, to do the testing. Pro will probably put a much more consistent swing behind the ball for fair comparison of characteristics/performance of the drivers.

Thanks Eden for the videos. I think it is still good for the heads to be compared like this using the stock shafts. They are sold as-is. The Aeroburner combo works for his swing.

For me I don't even care which is a better driver cos I just bought mine but it does tell me that I should be more diligent and try as many different brands as possible in future; as it shows that performance could vary considerably.
I can say that I would never have considered some drivers purely because of brand or look.
I think I should be more open to experiment, The result could be interesting and totally unexpected.

Best is so subjective. What's best for one may not be so good for another. Really, for most of us weekend hackers, I wish different brands should make available demo clubs at driving ranges to allow test drive before we buy.

Though I understand the comment that the test was unfair due to different shaft & loft etc, I personally think that it's a fair and most importantly, more relevant test to most golfers out there, since that is the closest & easiest thing with what they can easily buy in the store.
Never a fan of taylormade though....

this is a good review. Because the golfer is a casual golfer with 90 Mph swing speed and a 13 handicap. I see Rob has a pretty decent swing for a 13 handicap. Never slice and never hook the shots during the review. All golfers with 21 handicap don't expect to hit it 271 yards with Aeroburner if you don't have a consistent swing like Rob's.
BTW Rob must be a VIP member (I learned this word from eden) in Rick Shiels school. He got to swing all the new drivers and being watched by people all over the world. Lucky him!
