Your favourite JDM Golf Brands

Hi everyone,

On the back of superputts post, we started discussing what JDM brands are out there. Rather than hijacking his post, I thought it may be an interesting discussion to start a new thread as some of us may like to refer to this post when considering your next purchase.

So here goes, and I will update the list as we find more. Thank you everyone for chipping in Smile

Just as an FYI, I travel to Japan for business regularly but some of the brands mentioned here are even harder to find in Japanese golf shops.

Akira, OnOff, Yonex, Geotech, Kamui Pro, Kamui Works, Katana, are some that's off my head for main stream brand.

Of course there are those smaller boutique brands like P-tune, Modart, TRPX, AFD (Always Fine Distance), Maximax that's of high quality and great performance....

Tourstage I believe will no longer exist but instead will be merge into Bridgestone if I'm not mistaken.

Whoa.... I just realized Japan has more golf club makers than the USA.

BTW Tourstage brand is gone. They use the parent company now, Bridgestone.

It's funny how a tire company can also manufacture golf clubs.

My favs are:
Miura for iron
Maruman for woods (especially fairway woods).

For apparels, i do like Blood Shift (avail in Fareast shopping centre). Its a tad cheaper than Dance with Dragon.

I see, daiwa stopped producing golf stuff already? Their fishing rod seems quite high end.

Bridgestone. Their latest line of driver + iron looks very promising..

I think so, because they support i think only for the shaft, yes daiwa now is a high end in fishing rod same as shimano.
