Many times we saw love ones, close ones, relatives, friends, colleagues, strangers, and people from all walks of life with their eyes glued to the Smart phones. We are also one of the guilty ones. We lost touch with the world around us. We use abbreviations for sms to express our emotions and feelings. This video reminds us the importance of giving the people in your company the respect and not be engross with your smart phones and lose touch with our lives and those around us. It is a grim reminder of what the world would really become, digital, and it can be erase at the stroke of the key. No human touch. It's time we set aside time to be with love ones, and all those around us, have a good laugh and catch up with things. Watch their facial expression and be real. After watching this video, I realise that I am equally guilty of leaving my love ones alone, even though when I am at home. I have spent more time on the computer than talking to them. This must change. For those who are spending time with their love ones and friends, good for you. For those like me, I will make it a point to spend time with them talking to them when at home, as I will when in the company of friends. I hope it will bring us back to our real world.

Agree that FB is a super anti-social medium....and mostly.... ppl are just 'showing off' in FB.

And it ll be worse in say 10yrs dwn the road where yr daily meals dun look interestg anymore when technology gets more advance! Crying or Very sad

Actually we can do something about it. Starting right now when you are in the company of your friends, colleagues or love ones, put down your phone and not be distracted by it. Do not play the mobile games in the presence of them. It is, in my opinion, rude. This is what a colleague of mine do many times until I told him to put down the mobile. It's just like you are ignoring their presence. Even when you are travelling in someone's car, do not talk on the mobile until you reach your destination. This make the driver seems like your chauffeur. Whenever I am in someone's car, I will make it a point to keep the conversation short and call back the other party on reaching the destination. guilty as charged and mostly is work emails...... but definitely want to make a change to this.

I think the replies are quite one-sided. If we look at another perspective, others are also enjoying life looking at their hp. Just like scrolling GR Marketplace on your hp.

i agree though with putting down the phone. It;s important to enjoy the real moments of friends and love ones and even our surrounding and environment. There is so much to explore. Sometimes focusing on technology makes miss important moments that we could never get back because time is always moving and it won't wait for us.
