Bought a Inpres Classic about 4 months ago. Cost me $2,300 for 8 pcs plus I ordered an additional A/S which sets me back another $290. However, the sweet impact plus extra distance compensates for the price.

Total cost $2,600 divided by 4 yrs cost me $650 a yr (I change clubs every 4 yrs) ie $50 per month. It cost you less then green fee. Still get some $$ back when you sell off as 2nd hand.

Cheers

Ssssshhh.. Somebody's wife is also reading this..

And I don't drive 250M. Still using a TM Burner 08. JV Regular shaft so can only achieve 200M to 210M with back wind. Sometimes can only travel 180M. Now Driver already 4 yrs old so having the 4yrs itch... to change.

Tried 4 drivers this week but they were on different shafts, ranging from the new VTS, TourAd, the proto K and the Attas 3.

The 2012 driver range were Yamaha Inpres 445, the PRGR and the Tourstage. they are all made by Endo in Thailand and in my opinion share some common design principle. Unknown to a lot of golfers, including myself, a lot of technology goes behind the design and even the grade of titanium used on these models is believe to be of a higher quality.

i am impress by the Inpres. now whether i like the shape is another thing but the technology behind the sole and the weighting on the toe and heel is pretty impressive to say the least. the result is the ability to create the desired launch and yet reduce the spin to get longer distance.

the other driver that was surprisingly easy to use was the Callaway Razr Hawk, with my limited club head speed, the 8.5 on the VTS black was pretty manageable. but i will have problem playing 18 holes with the combination.

If not for the price, Yamaha drivers are quite the gem to get.

Birdman has a Yamaha driver which is oh so sweet to hit with.
