Hi All,

I talk briefly n my intro last time before I got banned by the moderators for posting something that got nothing to do with me but that I tot would be useful to golfers, anyway its past that and now that I'm back on the forum, I like to invite Parent golfers with golfing kids from ages 8 - 16 who are non member of any golf club in Singapore to contact me as we in JCC are looking to support some of these kids who are w/o a home club locally, by adopting them ( this means that upon selection, they are literally a member of JCC and get to play w/o need to pay green fees all the time, also get to participate in club medals , etc...

My e-mail is rosstan@smartr.com.sg.

Please provide following info: Name / Age / Address / Gender / current golf Hi ( must be min 11 Hi to be considered) / school / a bit of his or her golfing background would be good. Oh ya! must be Singaporean too!!, after all this is a scheme to help nurture future stars to represent Singapore.

Ross

Does being a member of NSRCC count?
If yes then my kid is out.

It is definitely a great program for the potential Sg juniors. cheers cheerscheers

Just wondering, if the coming Olympics for golf if there is any, would be able to create more support from schools and clubs here. Swing

Hi KY787, most certaintly there will be golf included in the next summer Olympics, unfortunately Singapore will never rank in that field becoz it's open to the likes of Tiger Woods, Rory ,standards, it's basically forth world elites to perform, our players stage more like SEA games in Singapore next year...

Sports school does not adopt students, it's primary ole is to provide students who are talented in certain sports an environment to school and excel in their chosen sport at a national level, private clubs who adopt young golfers play a different role in taking in youngsters who would otherwise not have the opportunity to play golf more regularly in a club with it's own course w/o the need to pay green fees.
