| I would like to know whether there are any prescription lens made specially for golfing selling locally?
Read that essilor has a line of lens "DEFINITY" which is made for this purpose.
I'm due to replace my worn off lens and am thinking of fitting one for golf. I'm having problem seeing my ball on a cloudy day.
Does anyone of you have your prescription lens fitted for golfing purpose? Can you share your experience?
Is it advisable to have an extra pair just for golfing? I intend to use just one pair for everyday activity.
Thanks. | |

| I have one for golf. used one of my old frames and just changed lens.
coloured it pink like g30. very happy with it. works on cloudy days sunny days. contrast on greens also good.
dont even need multi coat anti glare etc. just pink.

| I used Oakley frame with clear lenses ... I didn't order tinted pinky lenses because I fear that my vision may be affected when the sky turns cloudy and dark when sun set is approaching or when it is about to rain ...
You need a frame that can hold snugly well & yet comfy on your perspiring face while swinging a club ...

| came back from the optical shop last night.
i got a customised clip on polarised lense with multi coating instead. a pair of prescription polarised lenses is just too expensive, which i won't be using everyday. anyway, i just need to see my ball flight during cloudy days.
let's see how it is during my next game.

| got it for $135.
was recommended a fit over polarized sunglasses, and that would cost around $90 at my optical shop. but it's bulky, hence got a customised one instead.

| LASIK op may not be the forever solution as one eyesight still deteriorate a few years after going through lasik op. My friends and bro still wear glasses sometime after the op a few years later. | |

I did mine 13 years ago, just for golf. No deterioration so far. Still can see my ball rolling after tee shots. I think it's worth doing Lasik, for golf or otherwise.
