I have managed to get some hands-on time with these wedges. Here's a short FR:

50yd pitches:

The ball does come off high. Whether its higher than those old grooves is not very noticeable to me. However, the difference is that it will not stop upon landing. The ball will take a few bounces and roll out a little. To prove that its not due to the range ball, I went back to the old wedge for a few swings and it will check n stop on the 2nd or 3rd bounce.

Chipping:

This is where I see the most difference. With my old LW, I can fly the ball nearer to the hole and have it spin and check, coming to a stop within 4 ft upon landing. The new CC wedges will take a check and roll out more, ard 6-8ft. This means that you will have to cater for more roll out when these wedges come into play for the rest of us.

Bunker:

Playing standard blast shots do not affect the ball roll out. No noticeable difference to me. I didn't try and hit super cut spinners with ultra-wide open clubface so the ball doesn't react any differently.

Overall, I must say that going back to playing 90s and early 2000's type of grooves will take a while to get used to. Then again back then, we were playing Wilson Ultra Tour Balatas or Titleist Professional or Tour Balata balls where the balls spun heaps. With the new balls nowadays, the spin is very much noticeably less between the 2 types of wedges.

I will put it into play for my round tmr. Will see if it affects scoring for the next few rounds.
