| get the semi hard ones.. they are hard around the fragile areas and well padded overall. i have done ~15 trips with my semi hard bag.
other than that i usually take out my rangefinder for caddie compulsory courses. pack sunscreen. im not choosy on balls - so leave then behind n save weight. buy there..

| if your driver or woods are those detachable heads, remove them n packed the heads in the carry-on...
if u going Oz, pls use spikeless shoes if not, remove the cleats from your shoes....
just bring a dozen balls will do... u can buy more at the pro-shop....
wear those easy to dry clothes if u wanna pack light...

| Use an old towel to pad your club heads. Use hybrid shoes and only take along the light-weight stuffs like gloves, visor and tees. Buy balls at the pro shop. Take the opportunity to "get-rid" of well worn clothes, socks, etc i.e. use and dispose-off there. Otherwise, where got space for new purchases?? Ha ha. Enjoy! | |

| To protect your forged club heads, I advise that you invert your irons and place them head first / head down (with iron covers) into the golf bag, and with your woods and hybrids, use your golf towel to wrap around them. | |

Unless the divider of the golf bag can be removed, I wonder if the 460cc head can go thru the divider slot ...

| Just check in with any travel case and ask for a sticker that says " FRAGILE". | |

| Turbo, I think he meant invert the irons only. For the woods, stand in normal position but wrap with towel. | |

| I try to travel light. Usually I bring around 12 clubs or less. Also, I use by boston bag to cover the top of my travel golf bag. I also tie my irons into 2 bundle. Realize that when I try to break 15 chopsticks...damm tough as compared to just one. | |

| Duval, thanks for the great idea of tying the irons into 2 bundles. Will do that when I next travel. But how do you use the sizeable boston bag to cover top of your travel bag? | |

| I travel every month with my golf set. Never bother much with it, just use the normal golf travel bag and never even lock it. So far all the clubs are still good. I had done +30 trip this years with the same setup
