| Hi guys,
I'm planning for golfing trip to Indonesia around October. Which is a better place between Bogor and Medan? Important consideration is weather and after golf activities. Planning to have 4 days 3 night with 4 rounds of golf.
Any kind soul have experience or advise to share? Thank you in advance

| HI mate.. Bogor definitely.. I like the food in Medan though, lotsa chinese stuff like char kway teow seafood hokkien noodles curry rice and definitely the duck bee hook.. But for golf Bogor is definitely nicer place given the cooler weather.. Since you are going to Bogor, and arriving via jakarta, I strongly suggest playing a round on arrival at the Royale Jakarta Golf course enroute to Bogor.. Thats the Indonesian Master Open course and it's nice.. As for after golf activities, no point going ktv or sorts at both places.. | |

| I would recommend Bogor, many fine courses around that area. -emeralda golf course -royale golf course -bogor raya golf
on the way back/arriving you can slip in one round at pantai indah kapuk or cengkareng golf club these two courses are very close to the airport

| Absolutely Bogor!! Apart fr some of the courses mentioned by bros, there are also other good ones like Rancamaya (must try) and Gunung Gelius. Dont stay in Bogor, u will be bored to death, just hv to bear with to-&-fro trips and stay in Jkt. the caddies at Bogor courses are really game for after golf activities | |

| Thank you for the input guys, looks like Bogor have better and more choices of courses. Thinking of Medan because looks like more sightseeing place after golf. I have played at Royale and Emeralda before but have not try rancamaya and gunung geulis. So it will be rancamaya and gunung geulis. Any others recommendation for 2 more courses? | |

| You will be shiok on caddies n restaurant waitresses at Bogoraya GC, damn pretty n chio. It is a good course too! On the way to Bogor, if I can remember correctly there's one at Sentul called River view. That's nice too | |

| It would be better to stay over in Bogor to play a few courses there to avoid the massive traffic jam. when travelling , always avoid the peak hours in JkT | |

| Better stay in Bogor. Travel between Jakarta to Bogor can take 2 hours for a round trip.
As for the courses, Rancamaya has the nicest view and very well maintained. Gunung Geulis is very close to it. The view is not as nice but still top notch and is more challenging.
I will recommend Rainbow Hills which is also close by and many say it is up there with Rancamaya. Bogor Raya has the nicest caddies and the course is easier to play so it could be a good choice if you want to relax a bit.

| Gunung geulis has 2 18 holes (old and new),
I can suggest you for game enjoyment should be Bogor Raya and Permata sentul. From bogor towards a sukabumi city, there is a one very nice course called Lido golf, nice mountain view, challenging course.
If your trip during weekdays i suggest to spend a night in Jakarta before flight back due to unpredictable traffic, and play either cengkareng course or Damai Indah at PIK which are close to the airport.
Let me know if you need more information.

| Plenty of nice courses around Jakarta which I don't think lose out to Bogor... other than the hot weather...
1. Pondok Indah 2. Royale (as mentioned by bro above) 3. Cengkareng 4. BSD
Just my 2 cents | |
