Well, I hope Phil is saving up for the big medal as he is winless in 2014 (and probably since last Aug?).. Caught his game in St Jude on TV, and his performance seems to be on a roller coaster ride... He can be magical with his putts but his approach shots in the final round were ... Well, at least, he is probably one of those streaky player and once he is on the roll, he is unstoppa... (well, not even sure if i should finish it..)..

I would think the only lefty who can possibly win is Babba with his current form. I doubt very much that Phil M will be in contention.

The US Open is still very elusive to this lefty ... He is therefore especially very very hungry for this title ... Unfortunately he is currently out of form ...

Adam Scott is one of the favourites to win beside Bubba and youngster like Jordan Spieth ... Don't rule out Rory McIlroy because of his not so solid performance during his last outing as he can still do magic in his game ...

Will personally love to Hideki perform in his 1st US open .. With his ball striking skills (saw his win in crowne plaza), he honestly have the potential to become the best Japanese golfer to play outside the domestic league. I was a fan of Shinto Katayama (though he is probably considered a men tour specimen as he carries a 7 wood in his bag!) and yes, love his cowboy hat as well..
What ever happen to Jason Day who won the battle of the titans over Duibusson?? Hope to see Jason get a go at it! His iron play was pretty flawless in Memorial..

Great picks guys.
I would like Phil to win, just because it'd make a very very nice story :)Not sure if you've heard of the Big Big Bertha Payday challenge, but Callaway will select a lucky fan and match the money Phil wins and give it to the contestant! Pretty awesome.
Bubba is a good pick though, we watched his press conference this morning, he is saying how his strategy is more to hit long irons off the tee etc and play more CONSERVATIVE ... lol bubba conservative?! should be fun to watch
And of course, can't count out Rory McIlroy! Seeing Jordan Spieth in contention again would be great as well, if he's up there on the leaderboard by Sunday, hopefully he'll be able to close it out this time unlike at the Masters and Players...
We compiled together the FULL 18 hole by hole flyover videos of Pinehurst No. 2 course, if any of you are interested in seeing how the course will play and what each individual hole will look like--check it out:

those are some solid picks! as of right now, the leaderboard is pretty tight packed at 2-under par, FIVE players tied right now:
Kevin Na Matt Kuchar PHIL Mickelson (http://www.eighteenunderpar.com/blog/2014/06/11/phil-thrill/) RICKIE Fowler Graeme McDowell !
many more at 1-under par... and btw, PINEHURST looks amazing on TV!!
Matt Fitzpatrick, the English amateur is playing very well at the moment too, at 1-under par and holding his own in the group with Phil and Justin Rose:

Martin Kaymer looks almost unbeatable at this point, even though he gave a few shots back today--shot a 2-over 72 (8-under for the tournament)... 5 shot lead entering final round tomorrow and paired with Rickie Fowler who shot a 3-under par 67 today (and is 3-under for the tournament as well)

Awesome win by Kaymer ... He won by a whopping 8 stroke ... Very rare indeed for such highly competitive and prestigious tourney ...
He deserves to win ... Yes, his swing is excellent ... BTW, he recently overhauled his swing ...

I wonder how he is able to finish his backswing without rotating his hip and belt buckle. Extremely flexible.
