Daiman 18 or Austin Hill on 12th Dec (Sat) Morning game

Hi All

A few of us has the intention to arrange a golf game on next sat morning at either Daiman 18 (RM$110) + (RM$50) Buggy Fee (twin sharing) or Austin Hill (RM$628) per flight including buggy fee.

After the game if there is still time, we might want to drop by a nearby shopping center for shopping before heading back to S'pore.

Do feel free to join us if anyone is keen.

For those AGN members here, its confirmed that Daiman is temporary off the approved list. Called AGN Sing and they said under new negotiation and maybe after Christmas may be back on line. At least they took off Daiman from their site now after I complained to their Malacca Office that why still on their website Daiman still playable when its not. So it is officially dropped off the list from their website. Played another single round this morning. Their green pretty fast today. Just for info, if SAFRA member, I think got some discount. Last I heard was around RM120 for SAFRA members. Hopefully still there. Just bring your SAFRA card along just in case it is still affiliated. Cheers and have a good game

Is it? I got the price from the website is RM$628 per flight so each person is abt RM$157 inclusive of buggy fee. Anyway the lower the better of cos this is just some info for comparision.

Personally i prefer austin better or even horizon hills. The taman 18 was a little run down if my memory never fails me...

my personal view was that it's a better course compare to Austin n daiman.

I haven't played at Austin or Daiman but I think that Octville is pretty good for its price. Admittedly, the condition of the course has not been fantastic of late due to the heavy rain but overall, it's a decent course. Pretty challenging and interesting.

The shower room is not great, I admit. There's a stale smell lingering but I've seen worse. Clubhouse ain't too bad. The food is pretty decent. Try to Cantonese Noodles and Mamak Mee

In any case, Octville is undergoing refurbishment at the moment. A lot of work seems to be poured into the club and course to make it more attractive. I hope this works since I'd like to continue to play at Octville. The only downside to all this is that I fear that the course will soon be buggy-on-track only.

Tks Technospaz for sharing of info. Personally, for most of us have not try Octville. This is our first time there. So long as the price is reasonable & better than Daiman 18, tnk is still worth trying.
