Anyone using this putter? What's your feedback?
I like it for its super heavy head and mallet design.

I think it suits people with a more straight back and straight through putting stroke, as opposed to those who putt with a slight arc.

The feel is good though, more weight across a larger footprint translates to a more stable putt. The price isn't ridiculously high like the Scottys and Betternadis so it is worth a try Smile

@hitsoft,

Bro, unless one bends over 90* like Michelle Wie, there is no way one can have a straight-back-straight-through putting stroke unless it is manipulated with the hands which will lead to inconsistencies. It is only natural that there is an arc, however small, in the putting stroke due to rocking of shoulders.

Sorry to thread starter for the OT.  Beer

Hi nutty, agreed that a complete and perfect straight back and straight through stroke is biomechanically impossible. Nonetheless, there are people who attempt to keep it as straight back and straight through as possible (see justin rose, jason day, etc) and then there are people who putt with a more severe arc (see jim furyk). And it's depending on this preference that factors in to whether a golfer should choose a heavy mallet or a more toe weighted putter.

When putting with the odyssey tank 7, I found that the large footprint and even distribution of weight certainly helps promote a more straight back and straight through motion. It's just my own feel and thoughts though, my own two cents on the putter Smile

Oh and Batman, I found the insert of the odyssey a bit too soft for my liking. Certainly prefer a milled face putter Smile better feedback and easier to judge the speed with a milled putter

I just bought the Tank and I think I prefer the traditional putter.

Have been using the tank for 6 months.. Actually it replaced my scotty golo. And yes, the heavy head attracted me and there is a counter weight at the grip end as well.. Have to admit that I like making mid-short putts (8 ft or less) with this putter but still honing the longer putts ..
