Damai Golf CC (Kuching in March)

Sharing experience - overall excellent

Pros (many)
18 holes
-69 Ringgit (m,w-f)
-80 on Tue for all you can play
-weekends didn't check (sorry)

Buggy
-30 ringgit each

Course Flight delays / congestion
-none when I played, there was either no other flight or at most 2 when I played Monday & Wednesday
-in other words paradise for beginners (parents & kids)

Turf/greens/bunkers
-I think Bermuda grass
-well maintained fairways and greens
-bunkers (no puddles, it rained heavy before I played)
-front 9, clear and wider fairways
-back 9, more challenging narrow with a par 3 green jutting out to sea and last hole runs along a shoreline drop into the sea

Car rental
-1000 ringgit/week for Malaysian made MPV
-MPV, does its job for what I paid and did not break down

Cons
-need to bring own gps device.  I used sg/my garmin app on iPhone (reading suggest no cell data charges, hope it's true  )
-Need vehicle.  Plan in advance for a good time (lucky my wife did  )


Would I Recommend to others -  No, keep the flight congestion low
