Yesterday, we got to check out the Open House for Modern Golf Vancouver. We've featured their Toronto location before (http://www.eighteenunderpar.com/modern-golf/) and are SO happy that they have decided to set up shop over here on the west coast.

Here's a full write up from our visit: http://www.eighteenunderpar.com/modern-golf-vancouver/
The shop is probably 95% complete and they still need to put the finishing touches on the space and get all of the latest equipment shipped over here, but we were still amazed by the wealth of knowledge and professionalism everyone at this facility showed. It is definitely one of a kind in Vancouver, a much needed facility to offer golfers a complete brand agnostic fitting experience.
They offer:
Custom Club Fitting
Custom Club Building
Club Blueprinting/Specs
In the space, they have a full trackman set up,3 hitting bays, a dedicated gym for golf specific exercises, short game area for putting, chipping and even simulated bunker shots. We're going to return in a couple of weeks once they have the shop complete to go through the entire spec lab/fitting experience, so we will keep this thread updated once that happens :)It will be very interested to see how our off the rack clubs are blueprinted (and if we are playing what we THINK we are playing) and how our games will be affected through a complete bag fitting.
Stay tuned!! Here are some photos of the space

totally!! just all the different coloured shafts got us very excited, haha! we went in with minimal expectation but was blown away by everything and everybody that was there and involved. the best thing is that they are completely brand agnostic, so they'll recommend the best equipment for a golfer, rather than the golfer selecting a brand and going for a fitting with that specific company.
are there any services like this over in singapore??

hey everyone, just bringing this thread back to life--we went for our fitting today and just have to say it was amazing to see how much was left on the table when buying clubs off the rack VS. being fit! going to take us a while to do a write up that does the experience justice, but the experience and knowledge learned was great.
personally, i went from stock Callaway X18 irons with uniflex shafts and got fit to Callaway Apex Irons with KBS Tour V shafts--Went from a 6 iron carry 185, total 200 yards.... to 6i carry 195, total 210-215.. not only longer, but my dispersion was MUCH tighter (which has to do with the shafts) and all other trackman numbers improved.
will definitely keep you all updated once we receive all the trackman stats and do a full write up, but experience wise..... please GET FIT for clubs!! it's unreal what the right set of clubs can do.

Hey everyone, just thought I'd share this video that Modern Golf just released, it's filmed over in their Toronto location, but just gives you an even better idea of what they do and what their goals are. very cool, getting fit is very important!!
ian fraser, the one in the video, is the head club fitter over there. we met him during the vancouver launch and he's an awesome guy, very knowledgeable about everything golf.
