I have a question with regard to whether a set of irons conforms to the rules set by USGA. Does the rule apply only to pros or to amateurs as well? Will one be disqualified if found using a set of non-conforming irons during inter-club league play?

Unfortunately USGA website doesn't cover all brands/models, so if one can't find the model, does it automatically mean non-conforming or one has to get the clubs tested?

Bro, I just finished my morning meeting with the PGA Tour Commissioner. He was not happy that you're asking about the use of non-conforming irons. He expressed regret that a player of your standard is even giving this issue thought. However, I assured him that you're an honest chap and you were merely asking for the sake of curiosity. So, he's OK for you to use non-conforming irons but should you win any of the upcoming PGA events, you'll need to forfeit 25% of your winnings to me and spend a week mowing the fairways.

Best I could do on such short notice, mate.

For irons there are no list for conforming and non conforming clubs. Only rules for conforming groove for clubs. All new clubs must conform to new groove rules.
For pro tournament, all must use new groove since 2012 (if not wrong). For amateur tournament, the rule is 2014 must comply(can't remember which month).

If you don't see your model in the list, likely yours is non-conforming and you may need to change by 2014. However not sure if the local league games will apply these rules.

ahem.... I am asking for a friend of mine and I am not qualified to play in such league events lah, so you can forget about giving 25% of the winnings to you. Personally I really don't care since I am just a social hacker who plays to the century score.
