hey all, Nike Golf held a huuuuge "Innovation Event" yesterday at their world headquarters in Beaverton - they used the hashtag #InnovationUnleashed and introduced their FULL product line for the 2014 Golf Season, including the VRS Covert 2.0 driver
in addition to the new Covert 2.0 driver, they also introduced the new fairway woods, hybrids, Covert Forged Irons, brand new X3X Wedges (look at the cool sole grinds!!) and the new RZN Golf ball. Very cool innovations in some of these new announcements
they also introduced their apparel line for the 2014 season, including their new Nike Lunar Clayton golf shoe, which is one of my favourites from this event!!

Rory gave a clinic for the guests of the Nike Golf Innovation Summit in Las Vegas - check it out :)he talks about the new Nike Golf 2014 equipment.... it was a really windy day, great to see the new products put to the test in the wind and harsher weather! especially the new RZN Golf Balls with that SpeedCore Technology, very cool.....
I can watch Rory swing and hit golf balls all day..... though it kind of makes me want to quit golf, LOL! Raw Footage of his swing!
Just another quick update, this nike innovation summit was actually a couple of days long!! the first two days were held at nike's world headquarters in beaverton and on the third day, they flew all the guests from portland all the way to las vegas for a golf clinic with RORY! He gave a clinic and hit shots with all the clubs in his bag (all the 2014 equipment it looks like) and then, all the guests got to play a round with all the new equipment and golf balls at TPC Summerlin!
The biggest innovation this year has got to be the new RZN SPEEDCORE Technology in the RZN golf balls - it's definitely created the biggest buzz among those who attended the innovation summit! here's all you need to know about everything Nike Golf will be offering for 2014!!!
Rory discussed about his increased distance with the new Nike Covert driver ...
i could watch him swing and hit balls all day.... wow!

The wedge looks awful to me ... I wonder if there is any functional aspect of such design ... If not, I would say the Nike Design folks have poor taste ... It looks as if the club has been ran over by a bull-dozer ...

found this off the nike website! it's very interesting, we're looking forward to seeing it in person and getting our hands on it, hopefully test it on a course too:
"A wider sole area toward the toe and a relieved heel ensure versatility around the greens and make it easier for golfers to hit out of the bunker. Improved X3X groove technology delivers a more consistent shot in any condition, better ball flight and superior stopping power on the green."
and
“We built the VR X3X Toe Sweep wedges from the ground up,” said Mike Taylor, Nike Golf Master Modelmaker. “Our Tour athletes have told us that the toe side of the sole is most critical in bunker performance. In a bunker shot, these new wedges are carefully crafted to provide bounce relative to the path of the club head. Around the green, our athletes ask for material to be ground away from the heel to aid open-face versatility–and we’ve done that with this new design.”

have tried the Covert 2.0 driver and love it. it is VERY forgiving and much improved from last year's model. the extra stability with their "fly brace technology" is a noticable difference.
not the absolute longest driver, but the forgiveness is awesome. it looks and sounds great too, here's a video of Rory hitting it

Hey, really like the Clayton shoes.. I do have weakness for such designs and wingtips designs.. Was looking at customizing and ordering from FJ sites but hopefully they will bring the Clayton into our shores!

fell in love with the Clayton's when i first saw them! if that's the style you're into, you might want to take a look at the FJ City collection, they have some pretty nice looking shoes as well!

For demo, u can try Par Golf over at Punggol Range... Just pick up the club u want to try and head to the bays there.
I did just that one day last month while I was there... Went to the shop to buy drinks and saw that the. Nike (and Cobra) clubs are for demo. Hand itchy and tried the Covert Tour 2.0... After some 20 odd balls, I went back to the shop and bought the driver. Retail at $800 but u can get 20-25% discount...
