Need an IT guru help me....

Recently got a new laptop running Vista.

Was working fine till last night I was prompted to install some Windows updates, which I did...

Now i cannot open Outlook Word etc, I get a "not installed for user run setup" error...

I checked online and quite a few people had similar issue, but cannot see the fix for Vista..

Anyone can help???? Please......

SH, I had the same prob and ended up taking it to an IT guru at work. I wasn't with him when he fixed it and so not sure what he did but it works fine now.

I'll continue to use Windows on all the machines I have now but I think my next purchase will be an IMac.

try this. I hope it work...no guarantee.

Go to ALL PROGRAM
Go to ACCESSORIES
Go to SYSTEM TOOLS
Go to SYSTEM RESTORE
...from there you can restore back to your original system before the "updates" update.

Hi, that was the 1st thing I tried last night, went back 5 days and still would not work!

Working now thanks guys....
