| More and more PGA Tour players' wives are into huge love handlers ... That's suggests why more golfers have that ... Oops, I mean putter grip size ... e.g. KJ Choi, Phil Mickelson, Jason Dufner, Matt Kucher, etc. They prolly find it better control and less tendency to rotate/twist out of the intended path when swinging the putter to and forth ... This is some sort like the counter-balanced technology ... | |

| I changed to a jumbo sized grip and never looked back. I reduce the tendency to break my wrist and find it easier to keep the ball on the target line as compared to the traditional grip.. For me, I find it more functional than fad... | |

| Golfers are control freak! Need to have the best equipment. (so we see the winner 's bag, WAH , he use this n he use that) The next thing the manufacturer would be posting how they make the pro win.... The market go nuts. I think it comes to feel. when U hold it U feel comfortable, it should work. When the grip is bigger, we have less twitch n turn. You feel that U are holding to something. Then U go to the course, show off the new toy, n if you win due to the extra confidence you have... Your flight mate would also go crazy.... Viral or domino card falling...... HOW come PGA dont have a sure win PILL? will sell alot.
hahaha. | |

| How to test if oversized putter grips really help: Step 1: Get 2 putters that are relatively similar, one with standard grip, one with oversized grip Step 2: Buy THREE double espressos 2 cans of Red Bull and a Mars Bar Step 3: Head to a practice putting green (or use a putting mat) and consume everything you bought in step 2 within 3 mins Step 4: Wait 5 mins for the full effect of the caffeine/sugar/taurine etc etc to hit you Step 5: Compare how many putts you can make from 4 feet with each putter Note: Please make sure you conduct this test where there is an AED nearby in case your heart reacts adversely to the excessive amounts of stimulants you will be consuming In case any of you are crazy enough to consider the above (I was joking ...), a much safer way to induce the same physical effect is to do a couple of jumping jacks or squats (or any other physical activity) until your heart rate is elevated and then try to see which putter helps you make more putts | |

| Really, whatever you feel most comfortable with works. And, this means that one man's meat is another man's poison. | |

| i agree that it's down to personal preference.
however, one key thing to note about oversized grip is that you should get one with the same weight as the stock grip. a lot of ppl who switch to oversized grip complain that after the switch, they can no longer feel the clubhead in the swing. this is actually due to the weight (too heavy) and not due to the size (too big) of the grip
One oversize grip that i really like is the Winn Pci Lite Jumbo - the corded version (ie not the tacky one). | |

| I have changed since 4 month ago, ball rolling more straighter and also follow the line. I like it. | |

| I changed to a oversized grip (Crowne Jumbo) on my Ping G5 Mini C putter. I am now playing off a handicap of 3 and my putting has improved in leaps and bounds as I have removed the potential for breaking the wrist and pulling the ball to the left. | |

| Saying that, oversized grips are not for everyone and you have to go with what works for you. | |
