The Story
A son asked his father, 'Dad, will you take part in a marathon with me?'
The father who, despite having a heart condition said 'yes.' They went
on to complete the marathon together.
Father and son went on to join other marathons, the father always saying
'yes' to his son's request of going through the race together.
One day, the son asked his father, 'Dad, let's join the Ironman
together.' To which, his father said 'yes' too.
For those who don't know, the Ironman is the toughest triathlon ever.
The race encompasses three endurance events of a 2.4 mile (3.86
kilometers) ocean swim, followed by a 112 mile (180.2 kilometers) bike
ride, and ending with a 26.2 mile (42.195 kilometers) marathon along the
coast of the Big Island .
The father and son went on to complete the race together.

Never fails to touch my heart on the greatness of a father's love for his child everytime i watch this clip... makes me feels so small and inadequate as a daddy myself... sob.. sob..

Taken was pretty good. Liked it though I felt that it was a little unbelievable. Still, great entertainment value

Really put a tear in my eye watching how the dad carried and took his son all the way to finish the race.

Ditto. I could not agree more bro!
I've seen this clip before I was a dad and now that I am? It gives me determination to work even harder (to put up with a @#$% boss every single day of my working life), to say no to the temptations (I've quit smoking, cold turkey, on the day my son was born) and to make the sacrifices that gives my child and family a better life.
Much too often we take those closest to us for granted...but its reminders like this which help us back on track.
God bless that daddy in the clip and his family, as well as all the parents in the world who, in their own small little way, run the Iron Man for thier kids EVERYDAY in their daily lives.
