| Hi All, just checking anyone use Vaseline Petroleum Jelly on your golf club to prevent corrosion?
I have been using Singer Oil after every round after washing my club and so far it keep rust away, but i saw ppl using Vaseline on Ice Skating blade and it works wonder and the cost is cheap too.
Will Vaseline affect the painted surface (eg. Driver Crown) or any paint on the club?
Hope to hear some advised from GRians here, thanks in advance. | |

| As long as you keep your bag dry, don't see any reason for Vaseline nor Singer oil (so far have not encounter an rust issue)....... | |

| While you are at it, might as well apply to the driver face to reduce spin.....

| Another effective way to keep your clubs nice and lightly oiled is to buy a silicon oil infused cleaning cloth. It does work well but remember that the clubs have to be dry when applying or it's a waste of time. You can buy this cloth at two locations along Beach road. Both are gun shops. One is near Arab street and the other is located in Golden Mile right next to the Thai supermarket on the 1st floor. I've used the oil infused cloths on my hunting rifles for a long time and it does a decent job. I'm not sure if any of the shops above the Beach road hawker centre selling army shops sell this. Alternatively have a clean rag and buy a can of silicon oil and apply. Keep the rag in a zip lock bag and over time that rag will also be oil infused. | |
