PostSubject: How to add weight onto RBZ 3 wood head   How to add weight onto RBZ 3 wood head I_icon_minitimeSat Jul 20, 2013 2:27 am

Hi all,

I'm wondering if any of you who's had experience in adding weight to their clubs can advise me?

I feel that my RBZ 3 wood club head, which is on a Tour AD YSQ R Fairway shaft, is a bit 'light' and I can't really feel it on my downswing and am contemplating adding a bit of weight on it.

My questions are:
1) I notice the small screw located under the club head, is that interchangeable to one that weighs more?
2) If add lead tape, where would be the best place to add?

Any kind and experienced bros here can advise?

Thanks

:-)

Hi Rafj, from what I read; rbz weight port is not (recommended for) interchangeable. Adding leadtape to the head will soften the flex abit - you can put anywhere you like at the bottom since it won't change the clubhead bias, personally I like to put it on the far end from the face for 3w. To add total weight without changing the flex; you might try put lead tape on the shaft - 14" down from butt. Who knows you need a heavier shaft than heavier head. Have a good fun toying around your club.

Thanks for all your feedback, i went to the 'Den' and had been advised by the DGman that my issue is more the location of the kickpoint of the shaft, more than the head weight, since my 3w is already at D3.....

Think I'll have to consider if i can play with this or change to something that suits me more.

Anybody interested to buy a RBZ 15 deg 3w with Tour Ad YSQ R shaft? :-)
