They say that the bunkers in MBGC are tough. Yes, they are. But what could be tougher than being in a spot where you need to lob the ball over the bunker without any place to stand, are up against GR's most notorious buayas and the pressure is 110% on?

Actually it was 15-20 feet from the pin....damn amazing....!!!

It was my x5 BFG Wedge (56deg) ...
And as for why ... it is not that obvious from the video, but I had absolutely no stance to play that shot right handed, so I had 3 options
1) Go into the bunker and play the ball which will be about just below my chest (bad idea) 2) Intentionally shank the ball in the direction of the flag (worse idea) 3) Play a left handed shot with a sand wedge ...
And as you can hear from my "cannot lah ... ahhhh F**K it" before hitting the ball, I was just trying my luck ...
And what do you know ... I got lucky!!!

Me and GF were there on the green waiting and thinking he was dead meat.
LO and behold, the shining Buddha decided it was showtime and promptly executed the shot of the year for GR.

Every time some body pulls an incredible shot ~ they claim they got LUCKY!!!!!! Eh seriously, you felt bored training alone in KL and decided to work on these incredible weird shots right?

It was really a lot of luck lah ... not that clear from the video but I hit it slightly fat (maybe half inch) but thankfully still managed to get enough height to clear the bunker and reach the green
p.s. It helps to have a balanced wedge you feel confident in
p.p.s It helps even more if you have practiced making left handed shots at the range or on a simulator
p.p.p.s I forced myself to learn how to hit left handed not because I was bored but because I was always hitting into the trees on the left at one stage (2 yrs ago), and being able to use a club left handed was extremely useful
p.p.p.p.s It is still LUCK because I can't recall the last time I swung a club left handed on the range or the green, maybe not having any expectations helped ...
