| Hi guys
Thinking of getting some 3 Gen grips.
Read they're a tad bit softer than the usual rubber.
Currently using golf pride MDC, but looking for a firm feel.
Anyone has experience using them?
Too squishy? | |

| Hi bro
i've got the 3gen on one set of irons, and the golfpride mc on another set.
the 3gen feels softer and hence more comfortable on the hands, as compared to the golfpride mc. however, the golfpride mc feels like it gives better grip due to its texture
i like them both, but for different reasons
u may also want to consider the lamkin crossline. this is by far my favourite grip cos it combines both softness and 'grippy' texture. i have them on my hybrids and woods and i love them

| Also a little concerned with the soft tacky grips.
Wondering if they last or not.
Still got your lamkin on that fubuki i got from you. Good grip man. If only my tee shots were as reliable.....

| mmmm heard the permawrap is kinda too soft, and flakes easily in our weather.
I think I read it from one of Scotty's posts here.
Sayang. Looks cool though.

| i took the plunge and ordered the lamkin perma wrap ace 3 gen. cost about 120 for 13 or 14 pieces, so less than 10 each including shipping. i think the price is extremely reasonable.
will let u know whether it survives in this hot weather. think i need to ice it after every game

| Herpderp, did you order black, white or grey? Been eyeing the same grips too. Missed out on a discounted offer some time back, believe it or not, they were going for about US$3. That pricing lasted barely a week though. Please do update with a review of the grips. Looks, feel, shock absorption, tackiness dry and when wet, and if it really does start to peel in our hot clime. Much appreciated. | |

Much appreciated. Bro Birdie, any real cost saving by buying online and getting the local shop to install for u? I understand workmanship can be pricey in Sg ...

Much appreciated. i ordered white! yup will give a review when they arrive. they come with free glue and shaft clamp so that you can fix it in yourself if you know how to. its easy to remove the current grips if you intend to throw them away but if u wanna salvage them i guess the only way is to go to a fitter..

The retail for the grips is a little over US$4 and the grips was barely US$3 after discount. No brainer. Just that some complication screwed my order up and I missed the deal. So now I have white Pure grips on my irons. Installation in Singapore? So many people do it, there's even a girl in bishan range that changes grips. Just shop around for the right combo of workmanship quality and installation price. More importantly, these grips weren't available here when I last checked.
