Yah loh... Although i never join his games but at least you see him posting games and its always 1 month in advance. Heard from some others that his planning also superb. So now if you look at GR, its looks like a classified. hehehhe. all about WTS and WTB.

ehhh.. we already tried to make it less "WTS and WTB" by implementing the TEN post pre-requisite lei..

Thanks Shotah for reminding that Warren has rules on HCP for private event.
I will check with other courses if they can accomodate PC holder for private events.

There are plenty of games organized by our fellow member here. In fact, it is more then anyone else can follow.

There are plenty of jokes posted here , just for our good laugh

There are even more TCSS posting, for our leisure and time killing

WTB or WTS is just another hot topic in this forum, it not the main yet.

Btw, Uncle Lau is good, but there are others good people around here too . Lets not forget all these good people while they are still with us.

Dear All,

As much as the Moderators and Administrators do not want to stoop low and badmouth other people and forums, I feel a need to clear the air to avoid further speculation of this issue.

We are a golf forum whose main focus is golf. We have to constantly remind everyone that the people running this place are all volunteers and do not profit a single cent at all. We try and keep this place friendly with golf-related topics and issues. However, being an upcoming and fast-growing forum will have its issues and one of which is competition.

This forum has been an open target for rumour attacks and other unkindly acts since it started. Threats and Legal issues (which will not be elaborated) against us have also been involved, in particular, from a certain forum. Clubfitter and Professionals posting here are not spared too. I guess when we are growing at such a rate, others will feel threatened. In fact, the owners, moderators and all other volunteers here work behind the scenes to try and keep this place running without much fanfare so that you guys will continue to enjoy each other's company, games and postings here.

WRT to Uncle Lau. We have had feedback from quite a few members that as much as he organises games for forumers here, they will also be strongly encouraged to participate in the above said forum which he is also an active member.

Golf Republic is an open forum and all of us in the moderating team understand that forumers have free choice of where they choose to visit in cyberspace. We also understand that quite a few members are dual members of both forums and are happy that they still continue to post and interact here.

That said, we are mindful of interacting with people from elsewhere who constantly threaten our existence as a golf forum and spreading malicious rumours about us.

We have reminded Uncle Lau, very politely I might add, a few times to please not involve us and our members in joint games with the said forum as they have been known in the past to take us unkindly. Further reminders fell on deaf ears and the committee had no choice but to remove his pm function so that we hope to minimise potential conflicts of interest between said forums in future should he choose to continue this action.

Until there is more open friendliness and acceptance of us by the said forum, the moderating team will be cautious to monitor threads and postings which might potentially create friction.

We thank Uncle Lau for his organisation of all the past games and his jokes. As little as he is not posting here, he is not a banned user and is still free to post and organise games here as long as there is no conflict of interest.

The GR team will continue to focus on golf, golf games, topics, experiences and new products to offer the forumers here without any strings attached. We hope to continue to grow this community of ours and create a great networking tool for everyone who participates here.

Dollra, no problems here. I think it's just a misunderstanding. We all want to learn how to play golf. Sometimes, good intentions are misconstrued. Let's not get bogged down by this.

This issue has happened before, even before u joined golf forums. I hope that you will read more into it and not think its about you only.

Uncle Lau is not in trouble nor does he have any problems posting in threads here. It is his own choice whether he continues to be an active participant here or the other way round.

Hi dollra, we do not restrict our members in joining any forums. Some moderators and myself had told him not to organise joint events as some members/admin of the other forums are hostile to us and our members and it wouldnt be a gd idea if they end up in the same place not by choice. We have told ul about our concerns which regretably was not taken seriously.

The main issue here is to avoid friction. You are free to join any forum

No lah... last time always got CID come primary school and give talks mah. Say dun anyhow go coffeeshop. wait got friction then become ugly. But most of the time is the "zhong eh" that have friction and not the kah kia. So the kah kia lan lan got to listen to "zhong eh" to settle the friction loh.
