| Sigh... after a few months of golfing, I have finally felt the difference in terms of shafts for your swing. This is baaaad... I'm not at the stage of my life where I can spend $ just like that on eqmt but sigh the story goes...
I was at OCC range hitting at the bay right in front of the Pan West shop. Well, I itchy backside wanna try the new XHot driver so I asked if they had any demo clubs. The friendly dude there say the XHot demo has not been distributed to them yet cos demo days are still ongoing. He told me to try the Xtreme instead so I did.
At first he passed be the lighter shafted Asian S-flex. I could launch easily but the ball was going too high and hit with a fade. I thought it felt a bit weird for me so I went in and said it was going too high hit constant push fades. He said maybe too light and not stiff enuff for me so he swapped it for the US-spec S-flex.
I was rather apprehensive if that would be any different but I took 2 practice swings and well, felt better. The first ball I hit rocketed off the face straight as an arrow and carried further than the balls I hit with the Asian-spec club. Same story with the 2nd and 3rd shots. I finally felt the difference a shaft makes.
Now I am wondering about my current R-flex Fujikura blur shaft on my own Cobra S2 (i managed to buy it cheap cheap) but sigh... really no budget to change and also dunno what to do (still owe bro TigaWood for the irons =S) ... Dunno whether the experience was good or bad HAHAHHA if u get what I mean.

| more like the driver head la. see Andrews witb. the shaft same as his also. Andrew has the longest hitting driver I know of now. and so with my limited athletic specimen of a body. I buy equipment to compensate. | |

| zhikang, I have a friend also same story as you. Always played with stock REGULAR flex shaft the fellow can drive the ball 250m+...
I told him you joker you should go get fit for a proper shaft. Long story short, he went to BFG at Keppel. During the fitting he was driving the ball over the net at the back, till the guys on the fairway (there is a hole right behind the driving range behind the net) started complaining LOL..the right shaft really makes a difference, I think he is easily carrying the ball about 270+ now..
