| Hi, just curious to know has anyone tried playing irons with standard Dynamic Gold, Dynamic Gold SL, and NSPro 950? Like to know if the ball trajectory really goes lower with the DG as compared to NSPro950?

| Depends. NSPro tends to balloon for me. But when paired with certain heads, they do wonders. Do see a an experienced fitter. It really helps. Good luck! | |

| Thanks bros. So does this mean that all irons shots will be comparatively longer? Because I find that my 7i is hitting too high and it lands about 130m. I'm hoping to lower the trajectory and gets it to 140m without compromising my swing control of 7i.

| Tried DG x100 and ball flight was mid but lower than my KBS tour.
Never tried the other DG before.
NS Pro for me launches into orbit.
I have a very steep swing with very high launch.

Don't know about others, but I tend to also look at how the heads generate spin with different shafts. For me, if there is too much spin with a high launch /trajectory, my ball will balloon, and distance suffers. Again, this is just me. My kaki using the same setup will experience differently - I think his angle of attack & swing profile is different from mine. I'm not a pro, so cannot advice - just sharing my 2 cents' worth... You probably cannot tell what will suit you if you don't visit a fitter with launch monitor. Speak to Eric from BFG - advice is always free :-)

| I switched from DG R300 to NSPro 950 Stiff. Swing weight had dropped from D3 to D0. It's definitely lighter with slightly improved swing speed. My ball flight tends to go very high. My 8i still able to go 130m. After playing with some low low handicapper in monthly medal event, and comparing my shots to his, my ball flight is way high. I'm too contemplating to switch to KBS C Taper or DG S300. At the moment I will give more time and improve my swing mechanics, which I think it's more to do with my AoA. Of course, always telling and convincing myself that I have been hitting down & through which I'm not. I know this problem because when I try to take a half swing and really compress on the ball by staying down, it tends to fly lower and more piercing flight. Hope to hear your review if you made any changes to shaft or swing. - hologus wrote:

Never tried a DG on the course but i like the feel of my NSPRO 950 even if all my playing partners says shots are high. You may not get distance if you cant properly launch your ball. The flight of the ball after you follow through is already at the apex height and other importants is the initial and descending flight.

| You guys should try the DG Superlite (SL). Its the same characteristics as the 'normal' DG, but its lighter... about 100 gr if I'm not wrong (compared to 127 gr if i'm not wrong). Low launch low spin.
So for those who are looking for light shafts that don't launch too high, then try the DG SL...

| I started off with DG S300, loved the low launch n mid ball flight but just too heavy. Switched to NS Pro 950 stiff n ball tend to balloon alot. Tried DG S300 SL, really like the launch like DG S300 with a better weight.
Now just changed to Project X to try the feel. So far, its a tough mountain climb!

| I had Dynamic Gold fitted to my custom fitted Dynacraft irons and it play lovely though it's just a tad heavy. I also had my Mizuno Grand Monarch Royal irons fitted with NSPro 950 and it also play lovely. | |

| Good info here.... kind of the indication that NSPro belong to Higher Flight or ballooning, but of course depend subjective to indiv and swing.
If I had a tendency have thin shot on NSPro.... seldom experienced divot/s. Flight wise, I would like to be lower......, would it be helpful to consider other shaft? Or just my swing plane is not right (I think too flat.... ) ?

Or just my swing plane is not right (I think too flat.... ) ? Bro, who is your coach now? Yes, NSPRO shaft does not necessary gives one high trajectory ... It depends primarily on how you release the club on impact. Like what your coach quoted above. One must have the feeling of hitting down and thru. In order to have penetrating trajectory, one must create lag, lean your shaft forward and hands infront of the ball (for irons) + body stack above the ball thru impact ... If you fail to do that, even with DG S300 shaft your launch angle will still be high ... resulting in high ball trajectory and lose distance ...
