How many iron sets does a a golfer has?

Was wondering how many iron sets do you own? And the reason for owning more than 1 set.

I have 2 set most of the time & as both are quite differently spec, sometimes mess up my games a bit if I interchange them. So was thinking why would any1 have 2 sets.

At my highest point I had 7. Currently I have 1 set that I play with and one set in storage for guests to use.

The reason why I would have multiple sets would be for multiple conditions or if I had several houses and needed sets at each (makes it easier than traveling with clubs).

Only 1 set at all time. If I buy 1, I will sell the old one. Personally, I don't want to give myself a choice before heading to a game and choose to believe that the set i have is best for me.

I had 2 sets too, a super game improvement and better players sets. Just in case i screwed up my games or my clubs r in hospital for repairs...
But wife is complaining n wana me to keep only 1 set.

I have 3 sets. One for myself, one for overseas guest when the come to visit. Last one I don't know for what.

I also have 1 cart bag, 1 carry bag, one sunday bag, one range bag.

Have 4 sets. But all old sets of at least 10 years old. Only 1 set is bought new (2001) and custom fitted. Reason for buying is to test if it's true equipment plays a big part in lowering score. Found out it's not true, in my personal experience. The old sets that I bought 2nd hand played just as well (or bad) as my custom fitted set. In fact with the old set (Bob Toski) which I bought last year from E-bay (Singapore) which is at least more than 10 years old, I matched my lowest score recorded (81).

So, my personal view is training is more important than equipment. But that's only my view. Very Happy

I have 2 sets; my first set (bought in 2002) and the one I'm currently using. Keeping the former for sentimental reasons, while the latter is my gamer which I like a lot.

Don't have much desire to change irons but I really love putters. There was a time I had 11, but now I've trimmed it to just 6. Laughing

very aptly described! haha I find that 2 sets is good. I have 1, just sold one but intending to get one more if storeroom permits.

I have a rare (I hope termed correctly) Bob Toski Catalyst blade putter with alumnium shaft. I change the grip to Crown (very thick type many years ago). Love the feel of heaviness. It's in my storeroom.

Mizuno MX-25 (SG)
Mizuno MP-53 (SG)
Never sell old sets, too much if a pain.
Always donate older equipment to First Tee.

I have 3 set. As lefty golfer, it is quite hard to buy in Singapore. The first set is Wilson Di9. This set follow me about 8 month. After I start play on course, my friend send me a Mizuno JPX800 from US. This set let me change my game a lot. I used it on course play at around 85-90. 2 month ago I have my MP59. the bset Iron set for me.
