Manchester United striker Robin van Persie could be handed a guard of honour by his former Arsenal teammates.

Van Persie can expect a corridor of applause from his old team-mates when he appears at Arsenal for the first time since his controversial £22.5million transfer.

Van Persie’s return could be a bit embarrassing for Arsenal, after their former striker – now a hate figure for many Gunners fans – walked out on the club last summer in pursuit of silverware.

Although I am no Man U fan, I am happy for RVP. He deserves to win something. He is a very good striker.

Understand what u mean mate.. But, Arsenal only have themselves to kick.. Not that RVP walked out on them 2nd day after joining them, he gave them his best years.. But, alas, RVP was smart to move on after learning their priorities are not silverwares..

His decision to join MU only reiterate his class and ambition to win trophies, he could have gotten more $$ by joining other blue clubs..
