An interesting TV argument about TW's - Winning takes care of everything!

Do you agree with the argument? Pga_tiger_nikead_600

From a professional and sporting perspective, there's nothing wrong with this ad. In fact, it's timing and impact id great!

However, on a holistic view....urgh....it could be a bit better and more sensitive.

Tiger really drew some flak for this ad. It is unknown if he was the one who initiated it though I feel it was probably Nike that put him up to it to create some buzz, any sort of buzz, particularly after the negative publicity when Tiger and Rory bombed out of competition immediately after switching to the Covert driver.

His private life is his own, not our problem.
His strokes gained putting wins tournaments, and takes care of his wayward driving.

Personal take is the ad is right - winning keeps his life in shape, and wins the hearts of even more golf fans around the world, no question.

Looking at all the unnecessary attention he got outside golf, winning does take care of those ppl.

Like what the Ts said, we just want to enjoy TW at his best, I will not be bothered of his personal life.

Sometimes we think that the media is so silly for blowing things out of proportion ... making a huge storm and discussing what essentially are the private issues of top celebrities ... we might find ourselves asking "Why can't they behave in a more cultured manner or find something more worthy and relevant to discuss ..."

"There is no such thing as bad publicity" is never more true than when assessed from the point of those who own the channels which communicate such publicity

So just enjoy the buzz created by these guys and realise that, just as actors take on a role, these presenters build an on screen persona.

Another way to view this, being No. 1 again, silence the critics, doubters and certainly all the haters that condemn him to be a past tale when he had his past episode.

For those who've watched White Men Can't Jump, the following phrase will make a lot of sense:

"Sometimes when you win, you really lose. And sometimes when you lose, you really win. And sometimes when you win or lose, you actually tie and sometimes when you tie, you actually win or lose. Winning or losing is all one organic globule, from which one extracts what one needs."

It is usually the females that read too much into the message and get offended. The ad could simply mean that winning tournaments takes care of the critics. Does the ad say anything about marriage infidelity?

Just look at the recent news of NTU students coming up with a fairy tale rhyme to encourage having children. From a simple message of having children before the factory close shop, it became 'putting women who do not want to have children in a bad light'. Come on! Stop thinking that everything is an attack on women.

Actually I think this statement in the ad came from TW from way before the winnings n the stardom n the scandal.

Its easy to think the message is all about the potential of TW winning will overshadow his recent scandals. But then you are overlooking the swing change, the new golf coach and the loss of his father who was his best friend and emotional emotional anchor.

WInning is a powerful drug. If you have not been to the winners circle you are just a journey man or has been or wannabe. Tiger knows this and his single mindedness to winning is what makes him great.

This is precisely what Tiger has in mind. He quoted this like more than 10 yrs ago. He plays to win. All he even wants is a "W" and that takes care of everything ultimately and eventually.

Let's look beyond the statement...

Notice the words and name are in white, while the World #1 and Victory nike swoosh same red color?
