Does basic golf insurance cover lost of mobile phone?

Had an experience, drop and damage my phone at driving range. Made a claim and was compensated.

However I got a incident report from the Golf counter to verify the incident.

a friend of mine lost his phone and reported to club house, they dint ask him to make any incident report but just the normal report lost and found. doubt he would be compensated.

lesson learnt; don't put mobile phone in the bottle holder.

Huh! Golf insurance got cover personal items? I thought it does not cover? I think there is mobile phone insurance available some years but not sure if still available now.

Coverage depends on insurer. I'm quite sure Chartis aka AIG covers.

Most, if not all, golf insurance policies cover golf equipment (golf clubs, golf bag etc.). They don't cover personal belongings like your phone or camera.
