Long long time ago, in the southern part of the world,
There was a group who golf frequently on weekends in a town called Johor.
Over the years, such games were discontinued due to many reasons, people who don't want to drive in, golfers with no car, family duties, etc.

Thinking of asking who's interested to golf once a month in Johor on weekends, prefably on last Sunday afternoon of the month where the rates are cheaper.
Lets put up your name for those interested for the 31st March Game in Johor.

Venue (Pulai Spring 1pm tee off)
Rate Rm 398 per full flight
Include Rm40 F&B Voucher, 70mins spa.
For more details, refer to http://www.pulaisprings.com/golf/special_packages.php

You should take note that 31 March is the end of a long week-end and be ready for the expected heavy traffic returning to S'pore.

The issue you point out is one of the negative thinking that was one of the reasons why this activity was taken offline since then.

Take it easy bro. No malice intended. Just wondering if it would be wiser to start revival of this activity on a regular weekend instead. Thats all.

Chien,

Am not anchoring this, but just a thought so that more games can be organized.
I have a group that plays every Thursday in Singapore. Maybe you want to start another one in the Singapore games section.

Bryan, seems like its gonna to be a Lone Ranger.
Gone were the days where games were organize here and group of people played on weekends in Malaysia follow by sumptuous dinner before heading back to Singapore.
Will be good to spend once a month on such event.

Very difficult to get ppl to drive up JB for Golfing.
Most golfer want to be passenger.

Similarly I hv 3 of us rotate driving into JB on Thursday,
but my kaki like to play punk! when his turn comes he said ohh!!
I pump petrol yesterday my car full tank why dont you drive..

This has been going on for quite some time and we decided to kick him out!
Now we play 2 kaki and finished 18 holes 2.5 hours and head home
after the game!

Btw i also realised alot of members stop playing or have given up golfing
as I dont see them anymore, very sad to see once the club was like pasar malam
now hardly few of us!!

I remember those good 'ol days. We used to have a good number of flights, great games and superb makan after. It was a riot. We even had team challenges like best dressed team, silliest photos etc. We had so much fun.

Logistics was a nightmare but every event no less memorable than the one before.

Kudos to ChrisD for taking the reins on this one again.
