| Suzann Pettersen, Paula Creamer and Ai Miyazato were involved in a five-car accident on the busy streets of Bangkok following the final round of the Honda LPGA Thailand event. The three were on their way to the airport with their entourage, including Pettersen’s mother - when their cars collided after reckless driving, according to Pettersen’s blog (http://suzanngolf.com/average-week-with-a-scary-ending/).
The three have reported to LPGA Headquarters that no one was seriously injured, however they did visit the hospital in Singapore to treat minor injuries Creamer and Miyazato incurred. Pettersen’s car managed to miss the wreckage. They all made it to the airport in time to catch their flight to Singapore.
Below is a quote from Chief Communications Officer, Kraig Kann regarding the accident.
“With great concern for the players, caddies and families involved, we’ve been working through the necessary channels to gather available and accurate information beyond the original wire report… although follow up information trickled in slowly as players traveled from Thailand to Singapore. At this point, we’ve now been in contact with each of the players involved and their representatives. We’re glad to report that there are no serious injuries. Paula and Ai have been seen by doctors, x-rays have checked out ok, and each is receiving excellent follow up care. All players say they are hopeful of competing this week at the HSBC Women’s Champions in Singapore. We will update as necessary.”
Updates will be tweeted as information becomes more available.

| Glad to know that they're OK... I wonder if the players can claim damages from the errant driver for "loss of income" since they're playing this week...that will be interesting... | |
