| hi jason.
Do get a coach to help u in ur swing. also would be good if u can place a short rubber tee while learning ur FW.

| For fw woods, I really need to have a stable base and sweep through. If hit like iron, it will duff big time.
Irons - hit down FW Woods - sweep through Driver - hit on up swing
Just sharing. | |

Just sharing. Most of the errors usually stem from the setup. Is ur grip n posture correct? Get ur friends to take photos or even better still see a pro. I've heard so many different versions of FW methods. Some say sweep. Some say hit down. But so far. I believe setup position is the key to making the shot. Same swing for every club. Ur setup position will determine the trajectory.

| Here's to confuse you even more, I have the same swing regardless of club, The only difference is ball position. Talk to your coach. That is the best and only advice you should follow.... | |

Different people has different abilities. For some it's easy (got time, got talent, got money for equipment, coaching, and games) for others a bit harder loh Maybe I just fall into the latter category! Hahaha
Back to topic, to thread starter. Are you the former or latter? Come to the acceptance and you will be able to hit fw (eventually) haha...I just took up golfing at age of 40, so I am also uncle liao....will take it slow and enjoy the game.....

| Once again, I am thankful for all the comments and advises.......Happy Golfing! But there seem to be 2 school of thoughts; one is teaching to hit like iron taking slight divot another is to sweep it.... | |
