ISPS Handa Women's Australian Open Preview & Pairings
The wait is over. After a three month break the LPGA season will kick off this week with the playing of the ISPS Handa Women's Australian Open.

The long layoff it seems, wasn't long enough for most of the LPGA stars. Either that or Commissioner Michael Whan forgot to inform his players that there is a tournament this week.The following players will not be playing in this event:

Inbee Park, Na Yeon Choi, Ai Miyazato, Suzann Pettersen, Shanshan Feng, Mika Miyazato, Amy Yang, Cristie Kerr, Paula Creamer, Sun Young Yoo, Hee Kyung Seo, Sandra Gal, I.K. Kim, Candie Kung, Se Ri Pak, Hee Young Park, Julie Inkster, Meena Lee, Natalie Gulbis, Morgan Pressel, and Momoko Ueda.

This will be good news for the players who are way down on the Priority List, as they will be able to get into a tournament very early in the season. Cheyenne Woods and Lydia Ko, are two of this week's sponsor exemptions.

Final round queen won, congratz to Shin Jiyai, good to see her winning again and also good to see Yanni playing well again. Lastly Lydia Ko, nice to see another young lady coming up.

A wonderful display of golf!!!

JY Shin kept her cool thou not playing her best game...

Yanni showing her good form... Jus the hole18 stopped her from making a magical comeback.

Lydia Ko showed her fighting spirit... Losing 3 strokes in the first 2 hole but managed to crawl back slowly... Still an amazing display of golf by an 15yr old..!!!

I felt that the course commentator really inconsiderate... The interview on JY Shin on her way to the 18h putting green was totally uncalled for!
" how u feel about winning the Australian Open?" The ball still on green leh... Let her putt in then ask lah... Kaoz!!!

Throughout the week, Shin's short game was the reason she won today.

Great game!

Shin's chip in at the 14th really was the turning point. It would be fun to watch if it ended with a play off between Shin, Yani & Lydia.

I managed to catch a bit of Lydia Ko playing... She didnt seemed nervous throughout.. Solid hitting I thought.. Except, perhaps the strain of the few days competition got to her, as she dropped some strokes towards the end.... Am very proud of her achievement !

And also noticed, there's non USA in top 10.. Most of them didnt even made cut? including M Wie....
