Hello everyone,
I just received a gift of a fourteen MT28v4 wedge 54.10. I am enjoying it a lot!
Prior to this I had only been using the PW and SW that is part of my callaway set.
Ever since then I have been reading up on wedges and now am tempted to invest in a 60° wedge.
I tried to go back to transview golf and visited all their outlets but that model is sold out for 60° loft. It was part of a sale that they were clearing old stock for $120.00 each. I have not seen this loft at creative golf yet but was kind of hoping to get a shiny one rather than a rusty one.
I saw that the mizuno R12 looks similar and I thought I might be able to pick one up on sale or second hand.
So my main question is in terms of feeling would it be perceivable of difference across these Japanese brands? I thought it would "look" nice if my wedges were the same type but I am also attracted to the mizuno as I am waiting to pull the trigger on a mizuno iron set too.
In terms of wedges are they comparable? Most of the reviews I found compare mainstream brands. So far found a review for the fourteen v5 (not v4) that was not favourable compared to the R12.
I guess this is a very subjective question but thought some of you might have struggled with something like this before, that a club you liked can't be purchased anymore?
I am facing this with the mizuno mp650 hybrid. I liked the 19° but cannot find the 22° anywhere now, called all the golf houses!
Fate trying to save me money!
