Stamping initials on clubs

I made the mistake of picking up a wedge today which I bought cause it had my initials on it. Now, I want to stamp my initials on all my wedges. They are so cool! Anyone know how I can go about doing so?

Think they use rhino stamps, a vice clamp and some very steady hands.

I was just in the process of removing initials of the previous owner on the wedges I sent for refinished. They de-value clubs so thats why I dun do them.

LOL! I've never had my initials on clubs before and this wasn't any wedge (it was a Vokey SM) so not a bad buy. I'm just itchy - can't afford a move to Mizzies so the smaller ones bite.

Hi TS, you can try Queensway shopping Centre. They do Trophy inscription so I think there is not much difference. I could be wrong though. Its on the top most floor where those shops sell trophies.

Thanks, Titu. That's useful. I'm getting over the euphoria off my stamped wedge. I'll see how it performs first... what a joke it would be if I had stamped clubs but played like a moron. Right now, I've fulfilled the latter... I'd hate to fulfill the combination.

TS, u just buy one set of those iron stamps from a hardware store. then use a hammer and stamp it.

Yeah, but you need some precision and a lot of skill otherwise you may just hammer the clubhead out of shape

wah i have an old mizuno blade that i can try hand stamping! haha has anyone laser engraved their clubs before?

lol i thought that would've been a cool alternative to hand stamping.. you could even laser engrave the entire back. but that's really too much. i should just stick to swinging the club! haha

actually hand stamp is nicer but the trick is getting the right base when the club head is lying. it must be the right firmness to produce the right amount of de-boss upon hammering in the stamp.

the right way to do it is to rest the head completely flat on a brass surface. we have the stamping tool but not the brass surface...too bad.

on the other hand we can use laser....i will post one later to show you how it turns out. you can have logo, name, chinese characters....basically anything in jpeg format.

if there is any demand for laser, we can do it but we need to detached the head from the shaft.

Anyway, like I mentioned, I've resigned myself to improving my game first. Once I do that, I'll consider the fancier aspects of the sport. Before I get there, however, I'd like to remain as anonymous as possible.

Has anybody had their clubs stamped locally so far? Was wondering how much would it cost?
