3d2n Golf in Thailand or Jakarta

Dear GRïans

I m looking to bring my GF on a 3d2n golf trip during the good Friday weekend (I.e.29 march - 31 march). I sort of like shortlisted these two countries already but yet to decide which courses or which part to go. We have been playing for a year now n are high handicappers hence would appreciate it if you guys could provide suggestions. Hoping to include some r n r at night and maybe some light sightseeing as well.

u can golf 2/3 rounds, each round per day, am or pm up to u....

follow by massage, follow by retail therapy (theres MBK, Siam center, Platinum or Asiatique)...

fly off in the am, play pm golf

fly back in the pm, can play am golf

as long as abt 30mins-1 hr from the airport....shd nt be a prolem

I agree BKK is better choice than JKT, also can consider pattaya.

Lots of golf courses between BKK airport to Pattaya
Less the BKK traffic jam.

Maybe it's me, I have no doubt Jkt has got plenty of nice courses... But, I dont think it's really a vacation place for u and girlfriend...

My respect to the guys living in Jkt, this is only my opinion.. Jkt most of the time is jammed, travel to golf courses from city hotels can be 1hours+.... And the upper class malls are not cheap either cos of the taxes...

Played in Puhket and the Reds Mountains was nice..

I m more inclined towards Thailand, but keeping options open, btw any itinerary I can follow for a 3d2n golf trip in Thailand? Cause I believe I need to find cab drivers to send me to city if I wanna go there?? N there are so many course to choose and I m spoilt for choices

Go Phuket, take up Abadan's offer, rent a car to go around in Phuket.

1st - whats your budget? BBK is cheaper than Phuket

2nd - if it BBK, find a hotel near BTS, much more convienent to go everywhere

3rd - your hotel/conciege can provide numbers for outside cab services (get those maxicab cos of the golf bags), it cost me $1000-1200Baht round trip......just let them know when to pickup



ifs its BBK, go do a search for courses near the airport, theres abtr a dozen of them, LLK, windmill, thana city, green valley, Kuang Muang etc etc

u can book slots online on those thailandgolf websites as well.... if its wkday, is abt 1000-1500baht green fees, sometimes less depending on the wkday


depends on what u want for holiday..... BBK for city or Phuket for resort

u can go to expedia to check out the hotels in BBK n Phuket....

if its BBK, i will try to stay near the Sala Daeng BTS station...

IMO, phuket or bkk if u want to sight see. Don't think theres much to see in JKT. Its like.. saying sight seeing in... Orchard... haha!

Hua Hin just had the Q school asian tour card playoffs. But i don't think 2 months down the road will be in as great but still very good condition. Probably a challenging course since Q school picked that location.. Should be fun though.

Phuket would be more ideal i think. Beaches, food, night life.

Cause we just got back from bangkok previously (last xmas) then she has been to phuket before, but our idea is maybe not like stay in the hotel after the game, rather chill at some pubs to drink abit thats all hahaha...i believe the view would be very nice.

Ok guys, think my GF would prefer thailand lol....if we are going bkk, how do we plan the logistics (i.e. the driver from airport to golf course, golf course to city, then golf course airport vice versa). cheers!

Why not arrange with the golf clubs?

Ahh I didn't know that can be done. Can book from one website for tee time then call the club to arrange tpt?? Sorry kinda nook haha

Hi peeps, decided on gg to Thailand, hope it's worth while. Booking through golf of Siam, any golf course recommendations for high handicappers and maybe mid beginners?? Cheers

Wah so many there, LLK,Cascarta,vintage,Royal,Thana , Northen Rangsit etc.

Just pick a few that is close by and less travelling time lor.

Ahh Okok normally how much do u spend on the transport and hotel n games for a 4d3n??

I m thinking of playing a game when I reach (tee off pm) , rest next day, then one game day after and one day before I fly back ( flight to sg at 9pm)
