Oh wow. Finally.
Adam's velocity slot in a driver. Adjustable lie, loft and length. Very low spin. With an aircraft-grade aluminium adapter.
Ticking all the right boxes for me.
Speedline Super LS.

Me too. Sticking with my trusty razr fit. Now with the xcaliber SL stiff shaft. Good launch, penetrating flight and most importantly, fairway finder!

The driver is not released to the public yet, so I'm still trying to find out.

Bro lee,
You have finally decided to irritate your backside! Good that u are doing it, or else the dead skin there will accumulate till it cannot be itchy anymore!

I humbly beg to differ.
Velocity slot was so effective, TaylorMade bought Adams Golf so that they can get their hands on this technology and put it into their products without getting sued. Very difficult to come out with their own in-house version and claim it's different from Adams. How many ways can a slot be cut? Nike if I recall was the first one to come out with it, albeit cut all the way to the rear, so that patent was covered as well.
But I thought drivers have maxed out in the COR limit already, so I never thought I'd see the day a velocity slot is cut into a driver too until now. Note the slot in the driver here is a lot more subtle, and less deep than that in the wood or hybrid. Must conform to the COR limit.
By the way, I tried the Adams 3 wood compared with my current one back to back at the fitter's. Same swing, not much warm up. 199 carry vs 190. When I have the budget, will get that 3 wood. And maybe the 18 degree hybrid.
But driver takes priority for me in my own thinking, because as we know it affects the approach shot of at least 10 holes, whereas the 3 wood and hybrid combined affects only up to a max of 8 holes combined.
Thanks for reading.

I think Adams have been quite conservative in marketing of the VST in this driver. I don't recall seeing any promises of increased ball speed for centre face hits, but rather for off centre hits.
Very tempted to build a Adams bag this year.

Bro,
Nice of you to notice what I am doing with my posterior.
Not quite a 'ho, because I had simply outgrown my current shaft, and getting a stiffer, heavier shaft and needed another clubhead to install with it (wow, what a double entendre mine field.)
I always thought, hmm, too bad Adams can't put their slot into the driver, because COR is maxed out, otherwise I'd get it. And then they did exactly that.

Yes, I agree. Always been known as a company of good engineers (note the use of aircraft-grade aluminium in the adapter, who else but engineers can come up with this, right? Certainly not marketers with market studies) who excel in R&D but naturally did not focus as much in marketing (or customer service). And then they signed Jamie Sadlowski.
The 9015D was a prototype, put into play on tour, and was so good, they rolled it out as it was, including the name, which is still called a prototype.
Since then, the other models I feel has been only incrementally improved, a single digit yardage improvement because of a more aerodynamic head (and it took Jamie Sadlowski to achieve 9 yard extra.) So, nice, but backside staying firmly un-itched.
Until this.

More pics, u can see the TM influence on the top color and design ala R1
Two versions the Super LS with the deeper face and the Super which looks more like the prev model.
I think the Super LS has nice shape, but the white top turns me off.
Both comes with real deal shaft Kurokage and Matrix Radix respectively
Info frm WRX

Supposed to be released mid Jan in the US, so Sg, maybe Feb/Mar? Not sure. Trying to find out when I can get my hands on it.
Incidentally, remember the comment above where Adams has stayed away from mentioning whether the slot will give more distance in the driver, choosing instead to focus on the increased forgiveness? So I also thought, yeah, probably more forgiving, distance about the same.
Well, Aaron Baddeley was interrupted during a club testing clinic to try the new Super LS driver totally impromptu and compare it with his current gamer. A risky marketing tactic if it does not work out, with the public watching.
And guess what? After hitting a couple of shots, Baddely put the new driver into his bag instantly, replacing his current, custom-fit just for him, "I'm not taking that apart" gamer driver. Watch this to find out why.

I agree tho more on performance than design...if every new driver adds 10 more yards.....how come my drive hasn't increased for the last 10 years despite changing drivers?!?!....and why can't i drive more than 200m....!?!?
However, i would say that since the last 2 breakthroughs, ie changing from steel to titanium and increasing the cc, the major improvement has been increased forgiveness.....and that has definitely helped me.....
