| I am thinking of making a trip to Nanshan Golf Resort next April/May and like to know if anyone had an experience that could share. E.g which courses is better in term of scenic, fairway, green. The charges and any lobang for discount? Planning to spend a week there golfing. I being to Shangdong over 50 times but never tried the golf courses there. Thanks in advance

| Hi,
I used to work for Nanshan Golf School....
The only courses worth playing are at Danling
Cui Gu Cui Yuan
Can't remember which one is which - but the better course is the one to the right of the driving range.
Wouldn't bother with any of the others - courses run by non-golfers always over grown.
Have you tried Vietnam??

| Hi, I usually play in china because I have chinese golfing friends there. I played regularly at Beijing, hangzhou, chengdu and chongqing. Was thinking of going to Shangdong because Scoot is flying to qingdao n ticket is pretty cheap. I heard from a bj friend a group of nsrcc members spend a month here. Never golf in Vietnam but might try in the near future. I heard from my Vietnamese friend golf is not cheap unless the member get you the golf coupons. My biggest problem with oversea golfing is transportation except for China. | |

| I played at Nanshan GC 2 months back. RMB620/person(lunch included), buggy optional at RMB220. You can choose to walk as well. There is 2 x 18 holes in Nanshan, Valley and Mountain course. The course is built on a mountain and the view is really nice. On a clear day, you could over look the city and sea from some of the holes. There is a signature par 3 hole teeing down 8-9 storey, could see the ball free falling. I walked the mountian course which quite hilly. The caddy told us that no one actually walk on the mountain course. On some hole the fairway are tight, quite a challenging course if you are not in your good golf day. The green condition is ok, I would rate the green speed as slow, maybe 7-8. Overall a nice course. There are a few golf shop by the road side on the way into the golf club. You could find some cheap branded apparel (authenticity?) and even zipang golf bag there. | |

| I would not expect genuine authenticity in those shops!!!
You must have seen the neighboring scenery and shops haha
Overall not bad, but don't expect the glamour.
BTW it's freezing until around March
We do tours to Vietnam @Greg Norman design DaNang GC including green fees and accommodation. I can forward you some information | |
