| Spin It Like a Pro
An amateur was talking to his golf pro. Amateur: "How do you get so much backspin?'' Pro: "Before I answer that, tell me this...how far do you hit your 5 iron?'' Amateur: "About 130.'' Pro: "Then why in the hell would you want the ball to spin back!?''

| Haha, good one!
Highlights a common scenario where golfers underclub and leave their approaches too short, and can actually benefit from balls that don't spin too much. | |

| I can do a backspin on demand, just a matter of success or failure. First of all the only way you're going to get backspin is with speed. Without speed you won't get any backspin. I open the face, ball a lil back in the stance and the general motion is much like how you'd hit a cut in table tennis. | |

| Hah this is really funny. Side note : how much difference a shaft can make? Currently I'm using stock ones. Max I can do is a stop ball with a 56 wedge | |

| Shaft makes a diff.. But speed is the main thing. Only shafts like DG Spinner or Hi Rev with high kick points give added spin note than averge | |

| In my opinion, the grooves on the clubhead has a more significant impact on spinning the ball than the shaft itself ... Ever since PGA imposed restriction on the grooves of the wedge, shaft manufacturers have come out with something innovative to hopefully turn the table around ... To me, it maybe a marketing gimmicks as I dun see top PGA PRO golfers like TW, Phil Mickelson, Rory McIlroy, Luke Donald, etc. using DG spinners on their wedges and yet they can create tonnes of spin ... | |

| Bro MLP, can you pls elaborate on "hitting a cut in table tennis". How do we do that with a golf club? Is it like coming into the ball with a open face and very steep AOA, taking a big divot? Thanks. | |

| Yes, at least it works for me. Come in with a steep AOA with an open face. I also try to swing very fast to the left like hitting a pull | |
